The hot tub is just below the garden and protected on three sides
The garden has a great view across the Eden Valley to Cross Fell, highest of the Pennines.
Dining Room. Seats up to 8 on upholstered chairs at an oak dining table. Interesting library.
Kitchen. Electric cooker, fridge, dishwasher. Freezer, w/machine, microwave in utility room.
Kitchen from living room. The cook can join in the conversation and see the TV.
Front hall and stairs. Hall leads to wide staircase with window at the turn.
Bedroom 1 has super king or two singles and ensuite double shower
Bedroom 2 has king size bed which can be split into singles.
Bathroom. Full size bath with shower above it.

Greengill House, built in 1825, is a handsome stone farmhouse on the edge of Morland village in the rolling Eden Valley. It is an ideal base for the Lake District, Pennines, Dales and Hadrian's Wall, only 12 minutes from M6 junctions 39 and 40. The Eden Valley is perfect cycling country, and there are attractive local walks. Now with openair Jacuzzi, enclosed but with stunning view to Pennines, exclusive to guests. Non-returnable deposit £150 can be paid to acct Greengill House, acct no 39311864 at 09-01-28, or by cheque to F Markham, Greengill House, Morland, Penrith, Cumbria CA10 3AX. Balance due one calendar month before booking starts.

About the neighborhood
Morland is in the heart of the rolling Eden Valley centred on the River Eden with the Lake District on the west and the Pennines on the East. It is a quiet area but very convenient for the M6 motorway and the main London train line. It is lush farming country specialising in dairy, beef and sheep with mixed woods. Very good touring base for the Lakes, the Pennines, the Dales and Hadrians Wall, all within 45 minutes. Local walks and cycle rides in all directions. Fishing on the Eden, and scenic local golf courses. Pretty local towns like Appleby and Kirkby Stephen, mediaeval castles and pele towers, attractive villages.

Airport: Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Leeds, Newcastle: 93.2 mi
Railway: Penrith: 6.2 mi
Morland is very handy for the M6 motorway. Leave at Junction 39 (Shap) from the south, and Junction 40 (Penrith) from the north, both are 8 miles, 12 minutes away. Morland is also easy from the A66 from the A1 and Scotch Corner. Take the first left after the end of the Appleby bypass, signed to Bolton and Cliburn. After passing through Bolton, take the next left and then right to Morland. <BR>Use postcode CA10 3AX. <BR><BR>In Morland village look for the road to Great Strickland, Strickland Road. Greengill is the last place in the village on the right about 250 yards from the junction. <BR><BR>Morland is also 8 miles (12-15 minutes) from Penrith station, which is only 3 hours from London Euston.
