THE LODGE
Our beautiful cedar lodge is situated along the edge of the holiday park in an area which is very quiet and peaceful. You can sit outside on the decked balcony, which has plenty of room for dining al-fresco and is also ideal for toddlers and small children as we have added a gate to enclose it.

THE LODGE

UNFORTUNATELY THE LODGE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIRS due to the steps onto the balcony, which is the only means of access.
There is parking right outside for two cars.
It has a very spacious open-plan living room, dining area and kitchen with lovely pine-clad sloping ceiling. This area has large feature windows and patio doors, which open out on to your private balcony, and further windows on two sides, making it very light and airy. There is a 32 inch flat-screen TV with Freeview and DVD player.
The kitchen has a full size gas hob, oven/grill and extractor. There is also a microwave oven, toaster & kettle.
And there is an integral full-size fridge & freezer as well as a washing machine, iron & ironing board, and clothes drying rack.
There are 3 bedrooms: one double bedroom, and two twin bedded rooms.
ALL BEDDING IS PROVIDED (duvets, pillows, sheets, duvet covers & pillow cases)
There are 2 bath/shower rooms: one has a walk-in spacious shower, toilet & basin and is en-suite to the double bedroom, but has a second door connecting it to the hallway so that anyone can use it. The second is a family bathroom with bath and shower over, toilet & basin.
Bath mats are provided, but .......PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS.
The lodge is fully carpeted (except for the kitchen) and is very comfortable, having full gas central heating, instant hot water, and double glazing.
ALL GAS AND ELECTRICITY COSTS ARE INCLUDED FOR 1 or 2 WEEK BREAKS.
The onsite facilities are free for you to use and include:
* Heated indoor swimming pool with children's paddling pool
* Sauna and fitness suite, tennis court, table tennis, pool tables, crazy golf, outdoor skittles and outdoor giant chess
* Children's Foxy Club, outdoor play area and indoor under 5's play area.
* Cafe/bar, entertainment/amusements area, Snooker table.
* Chef's Corner Bar Meals & Takeaway.
* Free WiFi internet access at the clubhouse - we have found that we get excellent reception using a '3' dongle in the lodge.
You are also free to use the facilities at the nearby Trelawne Manor holiday park (5 min drive), which has the addition of indoor/outdoor pools with flume, restaurant/bar and a fishing lake. Trelawne Manor is also owned by John Fowler Holidays.
Should you prefer a quieter break, just 5 mins walk away is the Polperro-Talland-Looe coastal footpath, and further afield the Eden project, Newquay, St Ives on the north cast and other attractions.
ASDA and TESCO HOME DELIVERY - You can shop online and have all your groceries delivered, they are quite used to coming to the lodges. All you have to do is choose a 2 hour delivery slot, any day of the week (including Saturday & Sunday) and up to 10pm!

Lovely lodge, it was just a shame nothing on site was open. There where lots of things to do off site. We also got stuck on site one of the days as the had a caravan blocking the only exit.

Ideal get away in serene location
I've been coming to Polperro for 40 years as my grandparents were natives. I've stayed in many locations in that time but have avoided the caravan sites due to personal prejudices. I am glad to say these were swept away the moment we arrived.
The stay was my first solo holiday with my 2 year old daughter and the stay couldn't have been better.
The lodge was perfect with a lockable gate securing the decking area. She loved having being free to run around chasing the bunnies and birds as they appeared throughout our stay.
Decor was dated but extremely comfortable and clean.
Parking space just 10ft out the front and bar the Sunday morning wake up from the football practice on the pitch behind then lodge we hardly noticed any noise at all.
A short walk to the Haven pub, pool and shop made life a bit easier, that side of the site is in dire need of a cash injection but not bad for the remote location.
For the brave Polperro harbour is a 10 min walk downhill from the lodge. Times that by 3 for then return journey as only locals and mountain goats are suited to attempt it without stopping to ease cramps.
Having stayed in cottages in the harbour, B&Bs above Polperros car park and posh hotels a short drive away this is now much preferred lodging.
I am already planning a return trip and hope to stay at Bill's lodge again soon.

Not great for families
Unfortunately the rain was pretty relentless on our week in Cornwall which did effect our holiday vibe but I’ll try to give a fair and accurate review. The lodge is a static caravan on a caravan park with very little activities or entertainment, we went across to the club house and went swimming but it needs an injection of cash from a haven as I don’t think it’s been updated since the early 90s so I believe this is better suited to an older couple who enjoy walking than a family. I would class the lodge as average but the area I would class as poor because there really wasn’t much to do for families with children. Tip - postcode is wrong it should be PL13 2JQ the Tesco delivery got lost and was late but found us in the end

The property is a prefabricated pine lodge as per the photographs, located on the edge of the site with other lodges, and away from the static vans on the other side of the site.
We endeavour to provide wet weather options by making available various games, dvds, books etc at the lodge. There are numerous "things to do" leaflets at both the lodge and main reception, plus bunny spottig is popular with the children. The Trelawne site, 5 min drive away, also has additional facilities.
Unfortunately, September weather can be unpredictable, and the outside insect life can be busier at this time of year.
Hope the weather didn't spoil your visit too much. Bill.

Lovely stay
We stayed in the lodge for a week. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 children (15 and 10). The lodge was lovely and clean on arrival with tea and coffee provided. Beds were comfy and everything in good working order, would definitely stay here again. The holiday park itself is fine, we used the pool, cafe, shop and bar. It could do with updating but was great to use as our base. Loved spotting the bunnies and hedgehogs in the evening.

Black bunny lodge
Very clean & welcoming flowers in vase which I thought was a lovely touch. Tea /coffee etc on arrival which was helpful when you’ve been traveling. Lots of cooking equitment etc. Beds were comfy & the area was lovely & quiet, stunning views, would definitely come back. My daughter liked looking for black bunny’s & writing in the book.

Fab little lodge
The owners provided us with all information we could have needed prior to our arrival. Location amazing. Facilities in lodge were great. Great amount of space for the 5 of us.
Owners were very friendly and accommodating of our requirements.

Lovely Autum Break.
Had a lovely time at Black Bunny Lodge, the chalet was clean and tidy was fully equipt with everything you could wish for. We had three generations in our party of six and the chalet worked very well for us. It was nice to have the indoor pool for our 10 & 14yr old which we used every morning. It's situated just a few miles from Polperro where you have a selection of lovely restaurants. We had a great time and we look forward to booking Black Bunny Lodge again next year.

Excellent accommodation
The Black Bunnies Chalet was very well appointed spotlessly clean and situated ideally for walking the coastal path which is what we required for our break. Would certainly like to revisit.

THE OWNER WAS FANTASTIC & VERY HELPFUL !
We sadly didn't make our stay at Black Bunny Lodge due to our flight from Florida being cancelled & our whole trip to the UK.
William has been very helpful & has offered if we wish to stay in the future he will honour our booking for another time subject to availability.
A big thank you to William's help & understanding.

Beautiful
Just returned from black bunny lodge and i have to say it was beautiful , very clean and well presented 😊 couldnt fault it , polperro is gawjus as is looe and padstow , would deffintley reccommend this lodge to people and would deffintley return , no black bunnies😢just seen 1 brown 😊 flowers were a lovley touch bill thankyou 😊 hopefully return early next year x

Killigarth Manor Holiday Park is located on the beautiful south coast of Cornwall, only minutes walk from the colourful fishing village of Polperro and a short drive to the small town of Looe. Both these places have their own music and food festivals in the summer months.
