Summer cottage rental near Looe
The cottage was clean and provided all amenities needed. Beautiful countryside views and beach is 10mins walk away. Enjoyed the trampoline, paddle boards, and e-bikes. Dennis and Joel are friendly, helpful and create a relaxing holiday place. We’ll definitely come back here!

The Perfect Christmas
We booked the Summercourt House and a couple of the surrounding cottages for a few days over Christmas and it was one of the most memorable our group had ever had. The house and cottages were in perfect order with great character, there was lots of room and the facilities were excellent. Our group ranged from toddlers to great grandparents and every one of us still talks about how much fun we had and how we'd love to go back. The house easily accommodated 14 of us to eat on Christmas day - the house and cottages have everything you need to cater for any size party from breakfast through to dinner. We had some wonderful walks around the stunning countryside and down to the beach and the kids loved the garden and trampoline. Reggie the sprockerpoo certainly wants to go back as well! Zero complaints, fantastic hosts and 14 people extremely eager to return!

Stunning
The location is just beautiful and the walks along the coast are lush. The cottage itself was well kept and had everything you could need whilst the small details of freshly picked flowers shows the dedication of the friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Relaxing, invigorating, I could not speak more highly of this place and I highly recommend staying at Summercourt.

Fantastic place to stay & dog friendly
Three of us & a dog, lovely people to stay with pint of milk when we arrived from Philippa we stayed here last year but in the stable cottage, very short walk to the coastal path about 10min to Looe by car, monkey sanctuary just up the lane so it's a excellent place to explore from. The cottage was spotlessly clean plenty of room to park. Many thanks to Philippa & her husband for making our stay so comfortable & enjoyable

Beautiful location for walkers
Great opportunity to visit Looe on foot, it took around an hour on the coastal path. Also very convenient spot for exploring south Devon and Cornwall by car. Lovely rural spot with great views of the sea from the National Trust property over the road. It would be worth mentioning that puppies are not welcome, laundry is £3-4 for a wash and hot water is on a coin meter which involves finding the owner when it needs topping up.

Relaxing Stay
This was a beautiful cottage set in a beautiful area. It is quite rural. It is idea for getting away from the noise of town. The only noises you hear are that of the geese and chickens if you visit them. It is a very quiet peaceful place. The cottage has all the basics needed for a comfortable stay - we stayed when it was quite cold, but the cottage has plenty of heating and extra blankets should you need them. There were two bedrooms, a lounge with T.V. and DVD player (if you need it - but we didn't use it) a Kitchen and bathroom. There are a a couple of swings and a green space for the children to play under your own supervision. Each cottage seems to have a little outside space for people to sit. It is a good place as a base for a holiday but you will need a car to get out and visit places - saying that you can take the scenic walk along the coast path to Millendreath (where there is a cafe and beach) and then continue on into Looe. It is about an hour on a slow walk and you will want sturdy shoes BUT it is a worthwhile walk. You can also get taxis quite easily (we found Crystal Cars quit cheep and friendly). The owners were very friendly and helpful. They were available if we needed them.

A Lovely Place in a Lovely Setting
My family of 4 rented the Granary cottage for 1 week and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The cottage is cosy, clean and well maintained. The views from the back windows (especially the upstairs bedroom) are fantastic. Couple that with a playground consisting of trampoline, swings and slides meant 2 very happy children. The owners Mac & Phil couldn't do enough for us and were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The location is 'out of the way' so unless you fancy walking 15 miles a day to visit other places, a car is essential, but the location means that it's peaceful and away from traffic and other annoyances. I would thoroughly recommend the cottage set in a beautiful part of the world Thanks

Beautiful location, but some misleading information sold by "Holiday Lettings".
Granary Cottage was indeed a beautiful cottage, converted to a good standard, providing us with a pleasant stay. Holiday lettings stated "car not essential" which led us to believe it would not be too remote. This was incorrect as a car was most definitely needed! The website does not seem to mention that electricity was on a meter at a £1 a time. However it was a good lesson for the children! This is a great area to stay if you like to be away from the "hum drum" of the seaside towns, and have a car and able bodied guests that like to walk.

Getting around
The best way of getting around is by car. However, being right next to the coastal path and Millendreath beach there are plenty of alternative activities that don't require the use of a car. There is a train station only 10 km away from here and a pick up from there ca n be arrange prior your arrival. Alternatively you can take the picturesque train from Liskeard to Looe.

How to get there
On the B3253, 2½ miles from Hessenford you'll see newly built flats and a brown tourism sign at Nomansland. Slow down and immediatley turn into a narrow one-way lane... on through the village, turn left at the T junction... Two miles to go! Follow all the 'bed' and Monkey Sanctuary signs. From the Monkey Sanctuary Summercourt Cottages is ½ mile on the right.
