Cobblestone Farm is located just north of Cobourg, in the heart of the beautiful rolling Northumberland Hills. A short (1 hour) drive east of Toronto and you will be enjoying nature at its finest.
Currently a working horse farm, the renovated 1850’s century home can accommodate up to 16 people. You can walk the serene property, explore the nearby historic towns, and even take a drive to one of the many beaches or forests.
Whether you’re looking for a family getaway, executive retreat, girls weekend, family reunion or even a country wedding, come and discover the peace and tranquility of Cobblestone Farm.

A beautiful setting for a work retreat or a family adventure!
Firstly, Sam is an incredible host and without her, the Next Chapter weekend would not have been the wonderful escape that it was! Cobblestone is a beautiful home that combines modern amenities with old country charm. Sam has an extra sense when it comes to knowing her guests needs, and the ambiance she has created only adds to her incredible high level of hospitality. Even the walk around the property to visit the horses and cats in the barn put one at peace and at ease. I look forward to returning with my girls for a family get-away!

An incredible and unforgettable weekend!
I attended a Next Chapter Long weekend and it honestly changed my life! I entered the weekend in a very low state after years of being bullied by the Corporate world. I was skeptical at first, but that skepticism was quickly overcome after a very warm welcome from both Sam and Margaret! Sam was an incredible host who ensured we were always well feed with amazing food and hydrated with plenty of beverage options. In our personal time we had the opportunity to explore the beautiful property both inside and out. Sam was more than accommodating whether you wanted a bit of peaceful time on your own or were interested in getting your hands dirty by helping to feed the chickens. It was very easy to feel at home with Sam’s gracious hosting.
Margaret’s coaching was best in class! She designed the weekend in a way that quickly squashed any skepticism. Her kind, gentle, calm demeanor was very comforting as she approached territories that I would have never explored on my own. She ensured the three-day course was well balanced with both group & individual work to ensure progress, yet also provided plenty of free time for self-reflection. She ensured the environment was a no-judgement zone which was crucial for any of us to move forward. Not once did I feel stressed or overwhelmed with the topics, pace, or depth of conversation we explored.
Along the way, I met other incredible women who were sharing similar experiences, yet unique in their own way. Margaret was able to recognize the individual requirements yet also make it relevant for the full group to participate.
If you’re stuck in a rut, I highly recommend the Next Chapter Long Weekend! Trust the process and you will leave the weekend a new woman, empowered to address your corporate demons head on. The Next Chapter Long Weekend will renew your confidence and help steer you down the right path of your journey. I can’t wait to continue my next chapter by leveraging the tools and wisdom I took with me from that weekend! I also can’t thank Sam and Margaret enough for a life changing experience!

Quiet getaway; fantastic host
We were very fortunate to stay at this beautiful and comfortable BnB - the farm and surrounding views offer a relaxing change from the bustle of city life. Sam was a fabulous host; she provided a wonderful breakfast and excellent recommendations for visits in the surrounding area. I would recommend this property and its many comforts for anyone who wants a relaxing stay in the country.

Cobblestone Farm
We had the absolute best experience possible when booking Cobblestone Farm with Sam. She offered not only reasonable prices, but really went above and beyond in every way to offer help, advice and ideas as we planned our event.
Cobblestone is an absolutely beautiful horse farm, the property and lands surrounding it are green, lush and picturesque.
The house itself is a lovely century farmhouse with all the best original touches blended seamlessly with modern Grace and charm.
The rooms are comfortable and well kept, the kitchen is gorgeous and a chefs dream!
Overall I can't say enough good things about Cobblestone Farm, or about Sam who does such a great job and truly cares about her guests.. and I can't think of even one negative (except having to leave!)
10/10 would recommend!!
Thank you Sam! We loved working with you and getting to spend time in your lovely home!

Next Chapter Long Weekend
I recently left the corporate grind and wanted to recapture the confidence and passion I felt I had lost along the way. While I knew I had made the right choice, I still couldn't shake the feelings of self-doubt accompanied by walking away from the career I went to school for, that somehow I had failed. I carried those self criticisms for a long time, and I cannot even begin to explain the relief I feel with the clarity that Next Chapter brought into my entire perspective. Margaret has diligently designed each workshop and the pacing of the weekend to guide you through a process of self discovery while feeling completely at ease. Sam's beautiful property and impeccable hosting skills creates a space that is free from all judgement, stress and demands. I was able to fully relax, be present, and really think about myself and my life in a way I had never been able to before. This experience changed my life, I am so grateful to Margaret, Sam and the wonderful women I shared the weekend with. I can now look forward with confidence, and look back knowing that I truly have moved on.

Won an overnight stay!
We had a wonderful time at Cobblestone Farm! The hosts were awesome to talk with and took good care of us during our time there. The house is a retreat in the middle of rolling hills just north of Cobourg in the countryside. It’s a great place for a getaway with friends and family. There are lots of rooms to sleep in the farm house which is from the late 1800’s! There’s a newly renovated kitchen and lounge area that is oh-so cozy! We got to help out in the barn and meet all the horses which was the highlight of my experience. The host also made us a fantastic breakfast in the morning!
We hope to be back again sometime soon :)

Came for a weekend workshop, left a whole new person
I arrived at Cobblestone Farm for a Next Chapter weekend workshop and instantly felt at home with Margaret and Sam's warm welcome. Margaret's skill in covering challenging topics while keeping it fun and engaging helped me create a compelling vision for a new phase of life. Sam's beautiful home and grounds as well as her amazing food provided the perfect environment for a wonderful experience in personal growth, time for reflection and new friendships. I highly recommend Next Chapter at Cobblestone Farm for anyone who needs to rediscover a passion for life.

Charming country retreat - highly recommended!
As always Sam is one of the most gracious, interesting and generous hosts I know. Cobblestone Farm Retreat is charming, welcoming and relaxing. Each room has its own sense of place and experience, and the grounds are pretty even in early spring. It is ideal for a retreat, a few families vacationing, a girls' weekend and country weddings. And only 1 hour east of Toronto...
Cobourg Beach and downtown Port Hope shopping are easily accessible trips, and Sandbanks + Prince Edward County wine country are not too far away.

The Perfect Girl's Weekend Accommodation
My friends and I booked the Cobblestone Farm Retreat for a girls' weekend. This place is perfect! The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is AMAZING and well stocked with utensils, dishes, glassware, etc., the fireplace is a nice touch, and the location is remote enough to feel like we got away, but close enough to town to go for a nice meal. We enjoyed our time at Fieldstone Spa just down the road... a very nice compliment to the accommodations. Sam thought of many nice touches that made us feel welcome and taken care of. Thanks Sam... we will be back!

Wonderful Girls Weekend
This property was perfect for our girls weekend . Cozy private farmhouse , plenty of comfortable beds with nice bedding , very well equipped modern kitchen , very clean , beautiful setting with horses, wood burning fireplace. It was Perfect! A short drive to a wonderful spa ( fieldstone spa) and a 10 minute car ride or $34 taxi ride to local no 90 restaurant .... great dinner ! And the owner Sam .... wonderful to deal with .... very professional and well organized ! Will definitely be returning again soon !

Things to see and do in Northumberland County
There is something for everyone in Northumberland County. Cobblestone Farm is only minutes away from Lake Ontario and Cobourg's incredible Victoria Park beach. You can relax on the beach, tour the marina or take in some shopping downtown. If you prefer to explore the water by boat, Rice Lake is only 15 minutes north of the farm.
If hiking or nature walks are more your speed, Cobblestone Farm sits between two incredible forests: The Ganaraska Forest and The Northumberland Forest. There are even trails specifically designed for equestrians with ample trailer parking.
Getting around
Having a car is the easiest form of transport but cycling is very popular here in Northumberland County. If you're a cyclist, you'll definitely want to bring you bike and explore the roads and the trails.
