The cottage was converted in the 1970s from a barn and is built of Quercy Blanc stone, which keeps it pleasantly cool in the summer. All the floors are terracotta tiled. There is plenty of hot water and for the autumn and winter months, there is gas central heating.<BR><BR>The accommodation is ideal for 4 people and consists of 1 double bedroom and 1 twin- bedded room. The main bedroom has a wonderful view over the plum orchards and the village of Montcuq.

We have just spent a lovely week in the fabulous cottage. Accommodation is very homely and comfortable, and nicely furnished. Open plan kitchen/lounge/ dining area is spacious and kitchen is well equipped. There is an outside dining area with bbq and a wonderful view of the Montcuq area. The village is a mile away, has a few eateries and is quite lively. Be sure to catch the fantastic Sunday market. There is also a fantastic pool. The proprietors are friendly and helpful without being obtrusive.
The property is close to lovely Cahors, and is close to many lovely bastide towns.

We would love to come and stay here again (and we never usually feel that way!)

The sitting room is very comfortably furnished with a sofa bed (providing 2 additional sleeping spaces), and includes a very large fireplace for late Autumn and Winter evenings. There is also a dining room table, 6 chairs and a TV. There is a separate loo and a large bathroom with 2 basin units, bidet and a shower.<BR>The kitchen opens on to the sitting room and is well equipped with cutlery, plates, cooking utensils, coffee machine, toaster, electric mixer, an oven, a microwave oven, cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer.

Railway: Cahors: 15.5 mi
Driving from Paris:<BR>Take the A20 motorway to Cahors. Take the exit for Cahors Sud (Junction 58) and follow the signs for Cahors (N20) at the next 2 roundabouts. After about 10km on the N20, you will come to a third roundabout. Follow the D653, signposted to MONTCUQ - it is a small windy road of about 25 kms. After passing the Montcuq village sign, continue on D653, passing a supermarket "Shopi" on your right. At the pedestrian crossing turn right onto “Chemin Gayrac”, signed Lapeze. Carry on, keeping right, up the hill.
