Lovely house on a farm with a beautiful view.
Modern house with all necessary facilities. Three sets of folding glass doors make the most of the beautiful view, which looks down on a small valley of pasture, with horses, sheep and cattle, surrounded by trees. I am no naturalist, but was delighted to occasionally see a fox, rabbit and green Woodpecker through the window, and frequently here buzzards calling. The only slight criticism I have is that the beds were a bit hard for my taste. It was a memorable holiday.

Best place I have stayed in... amazing
This is the best rental accommodation I have ever stayed in. The attention to detail was unbelievable and it was like staying in your own home. Peaceful, tranquil, amazing views and a joy to stay in.
Tim and his family are lovely, helpful and available to help at any time.
Linen, quilts, towels all at very high standard. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. I spent 6 hours driving and to come to a fridge with milk bread, butter, jam, cakes and a lovely bunch of flowers on the table was just amazing.
Can't recommend this place more highly.

an oasis of calm, we wish we could have stayed longer
This slightly remote, beautifully appointed cottage was perfect for us. The cottage is on a working farm and to get to and from it, you actually drive right through all the farm buildings, between fields, past the animals and all along a single track. We stayed a long while here and felt very much part of the daily life (without the effort of actually taking part). The animals needs come first, so it is best to remember to allow extra time when coming and going from the cottage. The cottage is absolutely lovely, with all mod cons, lovely little touches and enough space here to relax inside or outside. It is situated right next to long walks in the Hurtwood woods, so walking or cycling is really easy. Lovely views all around the cottage across the farm, south facing, so what is there NOT to like here. If you enjoy your privacy, want to be a little away from it all, enjoy the country life, then this is perfect for you. We loved our long stay here and would come back in a heartbeat. We have already recommended it to friends who respect the farm life and enjoy the peace and quiet. A huge thank you to the Metson family. We felt spoilt - a real treat.

Splendidly perfect
It's not often you find a cottage offering a 5-star experience at a 3-star price. Coverwood Farm is a bucolic retreat, perfect for anyone wanting either to get away and rest, or see the outstanding beauty of the Surrey Hills.
What made this an instant hit for my two kids (11 and 13) and I was arriving after a long flight to find a fridge full of organic farm goods: eggs, butter, cheese, beef, ice cream. There were cookies and coffee. The internet behaved fast and flawlessly the entire week. The TV had no problems, the washer and dryer were great. The place is clean, airy, bright. It has fantastic views, horses, sheep, cows the kids will be delighted to see. Out the back you can walk up to Holmbury Hill, or further to Leith Hill. The location is ideal for biking, for running, for ambling in the countryside.
Guildford was 20 minute drive away, Gomshall with its wonderful pub - the Mill - 8 minutes.
To top it off...Tim, the owner, is an affable rural entrepreneur who understands that extroverts want to chat, introverts want to be left alone. A landlord who...gets it.
Of all the cottages in England I've stayed at...and there have been a few...this is the only one I'd go back to. It is awesome.

Ideal holiday base
We loved our time at Holly Cottage. Perfectly situated close to Gatwick (easy to find using GPS) and surrounded by fabulous and friendly historic villages. By way of contast the cottage is ultra-modern and fully equipped with the latest appliances and furniture. Wonderful views to wake to, easy walks up the hill, and very helpful and friendly host. Highly recommended. We would go back in heart beat.
