You can discover flora and fauna, pick fruits of the trees or paddle in the stream down in the valley. Here you have maximum privacy and you can ultimately enjoy the peace and tranquility that is sometimes broken by the tinkling bells of a passing goat herd. The cortijo is accessible via both mainly paved roads and through manageable farm roads. Therefore we recommend for this property a car that is higher on the wheels. The nearest village of Valle de AbdallajÃs is 10 minutes drive from the Cortijo, where you will find a supermarket, bakery, butcher, bank and several restaurants and bars.
The cortijo is centrally located so next to a wonderful stay at the cortijo you can also take day trips to beautiful towns such as Antequera, Ronda, Cordoba, Granada, Seville or Málaga with its lovely beach. In the vicinity of the cottage you will find a lot of diversity in nature, where nature lovers, hikers, climbers and mountain bikers can go out and explore the surroundings. The cortijo is not far from the natural park El Torcal with its fascinating rock formations. A unique surreal landscape where you can enjoy a stroll in beautiful flora and fauna. Or maybe you want to visit the nature reserve Laguna de Fuente de Piedra. A large salt lake where flamingos and dozens of other migratory and breeding birds winter, it is the only domestic breeding ground for pink flamingos outside of Africa. Of course a day of excitement and adventure around the lake at Ardales and El Chorro gorge could also be among the possibilities. An area with the famous path called Caminito del Rey and where the adventurous can climb or paraglide.
This cortijo is an ideal place to stay with family or friends and enjoy a great holiday in complete privacy. The cortijo can also be hired for special events or occasions such as a training for your staff, management or an inspirational painting or yoga journey.

Beautiful and well managed cortio with 5 double bedrooms (the master suite is stunning), large and well equipped kitchen, plenty of living space and a clean and inviting saltwater pool (and Wi-Fi that is plenty good enough if you need to work while you are there)
10 mins drive to lovely Valle de Abdalajis where you can find pretty much everything you need.
Several earlier reviews refer to the need for a 4x4 car, but my little Skoda Citigo was more than capable (although there are a couple of places where you choose your line in the road carefully....)
I certainly hope to return one day.

Lovely huge villa in stunning peaceful location
A lovely villa with a very large swimming pool. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday. If you’re looking for total privacy and away from it all this is the place to go. Villa is completely private and surrounded by the beautiful Andalusian country side with only the occasional sound of the goat herders bells.
Only an hour drive from Malaga and several other places to see. The villa was managed really well and Kelly and Geoff on hand if we needed anything at all. The villa has an amazing master bedroom with spectacular views and another 4 double bedrooms. There’s beautiful scenery and views in every direction. A wonderful place for a relaxing family or friends holiday.

Truly stunning!!
As you arrive at this beautifully secluded villa you instantly relax. On arrival we were greeted by Kelly and Geoff, who gave us a very warm welcome and an informative check in. The fridge was already stocked with some much needed essentials (like red wine). There were also gifts for us as we had just got married - such a lovely touch. The whole place is surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt scenery and is a very well equipped villa with pretty much everything you need especially the kitchen. This place is big enough for you to get your own little quiet place for a siesta and the pool is really beautiful and well maintained. You are only a 10 min drive from the small town which has pretty much all you need. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone wanting a truly peaceful and relaxing getaway. We definitely hope to return.

Amazing house in an amazing location - perfect for large groups looking to relax!
We are six adults (mix of couples and singles) that just came back from a full week at this house. The house is quite rural so if you are looking for easy walking distance to bars, restaurants, cafes, this is not the house for you. If, however, you are looking for a quiet and idyllic location where you can relax and do your own thing, this is the place to book. You have no neighbours and the house is not overlooked at any point, so you have full privacy. The house was well equipped with all required amenities for a large group and was laid out in a way that allowed all of us to socialize using all of the common areas, but also have "alone time" if required. We spent most of our days in one of the two outdoor eating areas by the pool overlooking the quiet fields and hills around us. There is a small Dia supermarket and a few restaurants in Valle de Abdalajis about a 5 min drive away, and your larger shopping trips can be done in Antequera which is about 15-20 mins away (e.g. Lidl, Carrefour, and Mercadona). All in all we would definitely book again if looking for another quiet and relaxing time away.

The perfect escape
Once you have spent a day or two here it becomes harder to think about going anywhere else. Away from it all in your own piece of heaven fabulous views in all directions and only the ringing of goats bells in the distance. The pool is of a size even with twelve people in it does not feel crowded. Inside the house there is space for everyone to be together or find a quiet corner to relax and unwind before spending meal times on the patio.
The village has all you need and you feel like you found the real Spain. A laid back relaxed atmosphere and very friendly.
El Chorro is a nearby village with lakes like inland seas which are very good for swimming, boating and fishing. Retaurante El Kiosko over looks part of these and is worth a visit. Also here is the start of El Caminito Del Rey (the kings little path) a great way to see the wild side of the area on paths hundreds of feet up the sides of towering cliffs but perfectly safe. Look this up online as you must book in advance. Also book bus to return you to the start. When holidaying in this area a car is essential
Lastly have a great holiday and enjoy yourselves.

Serene and stunning Spanish casa, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle
Gorgeous Spanish villa located in the stunning hills - it's impossible not to relax by the big pool and soak in the rolling hills. Perfect for a group wanting to relax.
Great facilities, air con, fans, and shutters in the rooms, spacious bedrooms and most with en suites. Fantastic kitchen with everything you could need.
Wonderful hosts, would definitely stay again!

Spectacular in every way!
Only an hour away from the coast, the location of the house is absolutely spectacular. Endless views of the rolling hills spotted with olive groves. It was so beautiful that we didn't really want to leave at all to do any touristy things. We totally relaxed and enjoyed just being "home". Every amenity you can think of is in this house! We cooked a lot and enjoyed the warm sun, light breeze and hearing the goats bells in the distance being shepherded up the mountain. On our days out we went to Ronda, Cordoba and Granada but really the best was being at the house, relaxing, swimming, playing games and reading. The night sky was also breathtaking. Due to the rural location of the house, having a 4 wheel drive vehicle is advised.

Stunning house in serene hill top setting
Gorgeous house with large living room, kitchen and pool. Had a superb stay with friends barbecuing, sunbathing and enjoying the serene surroundings.
Town close by for aperitifs too. Perfect for a romantic break or group of friends I would say.
Will definitely be going back again, fantastic hostess.

Paradise, with the most spectacular views.
I went to stay here for a week on late Summer 2015 and what 'a find' it was. The owner has used many local Spanish influences while designing a well configured and comfortable villa.
The location is amazing with the most spectacular views. Real Spain. The local village is sleepy and wonderful for a cold beer in the early evening after your siesta and before dinner. If you are looking for something slightly less sleepy Antequera is only 30 minutes drive and full of interesting finds.
This villa works well for a family or a group of friends. The pool is wonderful and the bedrooms all of a good size. I would highly recommend it.

Most relaxing stay in stunning villa with amazing views!
Had a wonderful 5 days in Antequera - thank you! The villa has everything you will ever need and is extremely comfortable. There are 360 degree views from almost every room and the pool and outdoor area is ideal for chilling out, reading and swimming. We had a brilliant holiday (group of 6 of us) and only needed to leave to get more supplies! Completely relaxing and highly recommended stay.
