    Orchard Cottage is available for rent when we are not in occupation. Orchard Cottage has: - Superb, large kitchen/diner with all the usual appliances - A separate utility room with a washing machine and storage facilities - A downstairs toilet - Large entrance hall - Luxurious oak-floored lounge, with an open fire. Upstairs there are: - Two large double bedrooms, and a two-bed 'single' bedroom - One with an en-suite bathroom, - And another separate bathroom. -Two folding single beds It has patios to the side and back,with a large teak table and eight chairs, and its own barbecue.The cottage, because of its height, has superb views over the surrounding countryside.     Stunning rural retreat in Normandy

    We stayed as a family of four (kids aged 6 and 8) for a one week break in February. The cottage is now a 3 bed and although we didn't use the third room it does represent excellent value for money. What's great: Lots! The...More

    La Cidrerie,of which Orchard Cottage,forms a part,is set in beautiful countryside,a kilometre from the ancient Abbaye de la Lucerne,yet only 10 km from the glorious,sandy,and child-friendly beaches of Jullouville and Carolles,which are among the finest in northern France. We are within easy reach of the the iconic Le Mont St Michel,and close to the sophisticated port of Granville,with its shopping and seafood restaurants. Avranches,which was Patton's base during the Second World War,is only 15 km south,and is an attractive town,set above the bay of Mont St Michel. There are many memories of the war in the American cemetery at St James and the German one at Huisnes sur Mer. We are also within reach of the D-Day beaches and Bayeux,with its famous tapestry.
