About the neighborhood
On the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds the cottage lies within a mile of the Tour de Yorkshire Course. Excellent area for walking and cycling with some big skies and rolling landscapes. Burythorpe is a farming community with some very friendly neighbours. Malton, Yorkshire's Food Capital is 4 miles away and is home to some artisan producers of fine food. It is also where a lot of National Hunt Horse Racing horses are trained the area is very equine-orientated and makes for excellent horse-riding country.
Getting around
A car is essential due to the rural setting . Unless of course you prefer to see the countryside on a cycle.

How to get there
By road, take the A1 or M1 from London. Google Maps offers the most concise routes and is constantly updated with traffic updates. I suggest you avoid the A64 at weekends or school holidays as it a very busy route with people heading to the coast and delays are likely.
Activities nearby
Fishing Nearby, There Is A Golf Course Within 30 Mins Drive, Horse Riding Nearby, There Are Tennis Courts Nearby.
