Myself and 16 friends and dogs from around the UK stayed at Woodlands for my partners surprise 30th get together. The house had everything a large group could possibly need, including ample space for sleeping, and the best equipped kitchen! The best bit had to be the views - even on a drizzly weekend the views were just delightful and really made the weekend special. We had a food delivery arriving that we thought we would miss due to being stuck in traffic but someone from the house had kindly intercepted it and even unpacked everything for us. If you’re looking for the perfect house for a group getaway this it it!

Our all-age family group of 13 people plus a young Dalmatian spent a happy week at Woodlands. The house feels very welcoming, and we all enjoyed exploring it. Views across the Ribble valley are spectacular. Having two kitchens was useful for a group including four households. The door from the larger kitchen into the garden was convenient for children running out to play and adults wanting to sit outdoors. We appreciated having three places to eat - the long outside table, the large, round kitchen table and the superbly long table in the dining room. We used the dining room also for board games and music with our instruments around the piano. Walks into the countryside straight from the house were very appealing, and wild swimming was a particular treat. It was helpful to have two front door keys and the kitchen door key, so that different groups could make independent plans. Woodlands was a perfect setting for us to relax as an extended family. Many happy memories were created.

We stayed at the woodlands for 5 days 20 family members. The house is so well equipped lots fridge space large cooker and large dinning tables inside and out We had a morrisons food delivery Walking distance to pubs and a little further walk into settle Lovely views Plenty space for everyone Hope to return

Fantastic weekend had by all, great house to spend together including two dogs. First there got the pick of the bedrooms but they were all great and no one was disappointed. The younger ones of our party took off over the fells while us older ones either strolled down into Settle or took the train to Skipton. Great big house though for us all to get together chat, eat, drink and relax. We had Sunday lunch at the pub at the end of the road, very friendly Land Lady who made a fuss of the dogs and the food and drinks were very very good.

I booked Woodlands for a large 60th birthday gathering with family and friends. We found Woodlands warm and cosy with excellent facilities - a really well equipped kitchen, two dishwashers (which you need with a big party) and plenty of space for everyone. We particularly liked the fact that most couples had their own bathroom for privacy and comfort. We were blessed with good weather so could explore the local countryside directly from the house ending up in Settle which has both a Booths and a Co-op supermarket. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous house for a big gathering. Started the week in warm sunshine, breakfasting in the garden. Ended it clearing snow and sitting around the fire. House had everything we needed with enough space for everyone to get together or do their own thing. Close enough to walk into Settle and lots of sights to drive to. Would love to go again.

Woodlands is comfortable, well-equipped and spacious. Its setting means it has stunning views but is also within easy reach of the the town. Our family from the USA and UK and aged 9 months to 69 all loved it. We enjoyed the Edwardian character of the house, and our only quibble is that an option of better lighting in the lounge would have been helpful at times. We found plenty to entertain us in the surrounding area for a week's stay - favourites included the castle and canal trip in Skipton, train ride to Appleby, the nearby falconry and the steam railway at Embsay as well as exploring Settle and Giggleswick.

Another incredible weekend! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! We’ve all had a fantastic time. The house is perfect for 18 of us who are mainly old school and university pals who like to meet up each year. I fall more in love with the house each time I’m there. Some of the group threw us a little surprise party on Saturday to celebrate our engagement which was really special as Pete and I really only met at Woodlands last time we were there. It will always be a special place for us. Cooking roast for everyone was probably my highlight of the weekend. How I long for a house where I could do this more often. We will be back I'm certain. We spent a long weekend at Woodlands House for a family birthday and it more than catered for the 18 of us that stayed. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with the added benefit of en suite bathrooms in a number of them. The house is well situated within 10 minutes walk of the town of Settle and there are a number of pubs and shops close by. We would definitely use the property again.

16 of us have just spent a wonderful weekend celebrating my 60th at the Woodlands. From the cosy bedrooms, the log fires in the communal rooms the well stocked kitchens to the lovely surrounding Yorkshire countryside and walking by the beautiful river Ribble, every activity was catered for. Settle is close by and the Harts Head Pub a 5 minute walk away , serving delicious food, hosted by the lovely Amanda is not to be missed. We loved it: Go on treat yourselves. Jo Dent Jan 2022
