Extract from our visitor book:
We had seen Noosa Sound cottage from cruising on the river and decided it looked a delightful place to stay,
We looked it up on the internet and very much liked what we saw and booked it for a week's holiday.
Well our breath was quite taken away when we actually arrived and saw how beautiful it actually was from the moment we crossed the private bridge that led to the cottage, we passed the family of swans resting on their nest at the edge of the inner mooring.
Noosa Sound cottage lived up to and surpassed my dreams, it was absolutely immaculate, cosy and comfortable, every room was filled with everything you would ever need and more.
My words to my husband were “I think I've died and gone to heaven”
The views from the large patio windows took in the beauty of the gardens leading down to the river, where many happy hours were spent catching fish by my husband.
We spent a very relaxing time enjoying the lovely garden which was so well maintained, we enjoyed many happy lunches & drinks reading, relaxing and soaking up the lovely tranquillity.
We watched with interest the family of swans going about the daily activities with the signets growing bigger each day.
We enjoyed walking into the village and getting our daily fresh rolls cold meats and provisions from the array of wonderful local shops, stopping on our way for a drink or two at the village pub (New Inn) before heading back to our cottage.
I don't think you could ask for more, the setting, the comfort, the sheer beauty of the cottage and its large gardens, the relaxing atmosphere, wildlife and of course the fishing.

Beautiful home on the Broads and River Bure
We had a lovely stay & holiday in this beautiful house on the River Bure. The garden & it's views are stunning. It was so relaxing to just sit with a glass of wine or beer on the many terraces surrounding the house or just by the river, watching the boats & the world go by. It is kept immaculately and is in pristine condition making it a very comfortable home to rent. The owners are very helpful & easily contactable with any problems. The Welcome Pack left for us on arrival was also a lovely touch from the owners.
It is a fisherman's dream being on the river & my Husband loved fishing from the bottom of the garden each morning. It is also in a perfect position for the village of Horning with pubs / restaurants & shops all within short walking distance & only a short drive from other beautiful villages nearby.
We would have rated this excellent but for a couple of problems with power cuts during our stay, which the owners have now completely rectified & were out of their control until an electrician was appointed & able to attend. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone wishing to holiday on the Norfolk Broads / by the River Bure & would be more than happy to return to this property in the future given it's great location, cleanliness and comfort, to the extent we are considering a return next year.

Lovely holiday
Had another lovely stay at Noosa sound. The property was immaculate inside and out. Filled the bird feeders (food supplied) and watched the blue tits, sparrows and squirrels feeding from the kitchen window, we also had daily visits from swan with cygnets and ducks.
I did quite a lot of fishing and had the company of the Heron who sa 2 yards away anticipating his dinner. Thanks again for a lovely tranquil break which had the added bonus of beautiful weather.

Perfect holiday!
We are settled back home now after a wonderful holiday at Noosa sound. This was our second visit and everything was perfect, the cottage was scrupulously clean and very comfortable. The setting on the river Bure is fantastic, the garden leading to the river is very well maintained and a perfect place to sit and watch the boats and wildlife passing by.
Many thanks to Val for the chocolates and drinks which went down very well. As an added bonus we enjoyed a week of perfect weather. We hope to return again next year.
Many thanks Catherine

Home from home
This was our third visit to Noosa as the first time we stayed there we were smitten. First of all you have a panoramic view from the living area which is stunning, there are chairs and bench seats all around the property so you can make the most of the sun all day long, then you have the view of the river which is what I love, it is ever changing from the times of the day where it is calm and tranquil to the hustle and bustle of boats up and down all day. Even from the bedroom you have a view of the river when you open the curtains. The lagoon can be seen from the kitchen and the living area where you can frequently see kingfishers and herons also ducks and geese and on one occasion the otter. The wildlife is lovely and I can see how if you fish it would be absolutely perfect as there is even a bait fridge for you. The property is very well maintained and kept looking lovely. You have everything you need here oven and microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer, the washing machine comes in really handy on a longer stay. We spend a lot of time on our kayaks while we are here and it is lovely to come back and relax with a coffee and watch the world go by. There are three pubs within walking distance and also a fish restaurant, a newsagents and small shops also in the village, however Wroxham is not far away for a bigger shop. We have booked again for two weeks next summer, it really is a home from home.

Brilliant holiday
Noosa Sound is the most delightful cottage. I've stayed here on numerous occasions and it just gets better every time. It is always immaculate when you arrive with extras waiting for you. The housekeeper does a wonderful job, many thanks to her. The stay in this lovely cottage is so comfortable and relaxing and the bed! If you like nature then this is the place for you, it is simply outstanding and the surroundings are beautiful, mostly water. The owners, Val and Ian always put lovely plants in and around the garden, it makes all the difference. The village of Horning is a short stroll away with all you need, it is just a lovely place to stay and chill out. There is plenty to do further afield on the Norfolk Broads and surrounding areas as well, it is a truly brilliant holiday and I shall keep coming back!

Peace and Quiet
Just spent two weeks in this idyllic property. Surrounded by water there is plenty of wildlife about and the river produced plenty of fish.
Noosa is a very well maintained property by Val and Ian, not forgetting there team of gardeners and housekeeper.
Due to its location it is a very peaceful place to stay. Only a short walk into Horning village to the local amenities.
