Separate dining room with a large table and seating for up to 12. large kitchen & breakfast room with all the usual appliances to make this a complete home from home experience. Doors lead off to the newly built wooden conservatory. Ground floor double bedroom with adjacent wet room. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with a king size bed and en-suite shower room, one twin bedroom with basin and one double bedroom, a family bathroom and separate toilet. On the second floor, there is a further double bedroom and another twin bedroom with a secret staircase! Beck cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 12 adults with additional fold out beds available for a small fee. In addition there is a games room above the garage with football table and a table tennis table and with a trampoline in the garden.
Facilities and Services: Oil fired central heating and electricity included. Travel cot, 2 high chairs and stairgates available on request (but please bring own cot bedding), dogs welcome, fully enclosed mature and charming garden (not secure for small dogs) with patio and barbeque area with garden seating for 12, summer house, shepherds hut that sleeps 2 either in a double or 2 singles available for hire, Garden shower room, children's climbing frame, 4 - 6 person permanent hot tub available for hire from £300 ,private parking for up to 6 cars.
Dogs are welcome to stay here max 3 at £35 per dog fee
There is a 4-6 seat hot tub available from £300 for short breaks and £375 for 7 nights
Bike hire available in Fordingbridge
During school holidays, EASTER, CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR only 7-night stays will be accepted.
Stay criteria is based on (out of school holiday) 7-night stays, long weekends Fri-Mon (3 nights minimum stay) or mid-week breaks Mon-Fri (4 nights minimum stay). Special last minute discounts available please email for information.

We celebrated my daughter’s hen weekend here 3–6 Feb. Cottage was very comfortable. Sleeping arrangements worked out perfectly for our group of 10 (should have been 12) . The cottage was very clean and warm, the kitchen well equipped and the hot tub was a great addition. Thank you for the wonderful welcome basket. We all had a great time and I would definitely recommend this cottage for a big group/family get together. We didn’t get to use the games room!

Excellent cottage
Excellent accommodation for the 10 of us. Had a very comfortable and enjoyable week. Cottage was nice and clean and comfortable. Everything you needed for a week’s holiday in the New Forrest.

Good cottage accommodating 12 persons - just! Lacking kitchen scissors was a serious omission. Didn’t use the spa pool due to excessive price. Pub and shop stunning addition.

Fabulous cottage
Fabulous ‘chocolate box cottage’ in Woodgreen. Spacious, clean, well equipped and roomy. Lovely garden. Very close to local pub ‘Horse and Groom’ who serve great food. Well stocked Community Village shop. Great for a big family get together as can sleep 12 easily.

Idyllic cottage, perfect for a family celebration
As a family group of ten we enjoyed a fantastic weekend at Beck Cottage to celebrate a 75th and 80th birthday. The downstairs en-suite room was perfect for the birthday couple who are not able to manage stairs. There are a couple of steps up to the kitchen but it’s ideal for those who can’t manage lots of stairs. Walk in shower in the downstairs en-suite was also perfect (we took a shower seat with us). The room is cosy but suited them well. Other bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious with very comfortable beds.
The communal areas are all lovely with space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing. We particularly enjoyed the conservatory and the stunning garden which the kids loved exploring. The 12 year old boys and big kids enjoyed the table tennis and table football in the games room.
Woodgreen in a lovely pretty village with a friendly shop and the horse and groom pub is a stones throw from Beck Cottage. We only went there for a drink but it was friendly and pleasant. We had a stunning celebratory meal at the Bat and Ball in Breamore which is less than a mile from the cottage and some of the group walked there.
All in all a perfect and characterful thatched cottage in an excellent location for exploring the forest and fordingbridge.
We will return.

Spacious, warm and Cosy

A real delight
There were 11 of us staying at Beck Cottage for my 60th Birthday celebrations.
The cottage is absoloutely stunning and spotlessly clean. Plenty of space for us all and a fantastic large dining table .
The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment but I would reccommend reading the cooker manual as we had problems with it!
The owner Caroline is extremely helpful and easy to contact if needed.
The pub next door had closed down recently but we had a great meal on the Friday at the nearby Bat & Ball pub which was very good and to be reccommended.
The local community ran shop which us a couple of minutes walk has a good selection of essentials , freshly baked bread and a coffee shop too.
The surrounding area is great for a walk with the ponies and donkeys and one got very attached to us we thought it was coming home with us. We would love to stay there again it was perfect.

Great stay - will be back
Beck Cottage is fantastic. Stayed with a group of mates for a chilled long weekend. The facilities are second to none and the games room is a brilliant addition for big and small kids alike. Gardens were wonderful for chilling in sunny evenings and the whole place is just perfectly set up for a group for friends/couples with/without kids. New Forest Aqua Park (4 miles) is a hoot and highly recommended.

Beautiful Cottage, Amazing Location, Perfect Start to the New Year
For the New Year, we'd all decided to go away together (7 adults / 6 children) for a few days, and Beck Cottage was just the ticket...plenty of space, beautifully decorated, and well equipped (the games room was a pleasant surprise)...it was the perfect location to spend time with friends and recharge after the busy Christmas period. Perfectly situated for those wanting to explore the New Forest and surrounding areas and ideal for those with young children. The pub / restaurant at the end of the road, offered a warm welcome and great food (huge portions !) The four days we spent there flew by, a sign that a good time was had by all. Thanks again to Richard for making our stay at Beck Cottage so memorable....we will definitely return again soon.
