Stayed here while visiting family. The photos don't do it justice, great place with lots of space. Access to lovely shared garden.

Just returned from a wonderful weeks holiday at Pond View apartment with my daughters and our dogs, with my mum also staying in the Field View apartment too. A wonderful location and the accommodation was spotlessly clean, welcoming, comfortable and with everything you could possibly need on holiday. Chris & Eppie we’re the perfect hosts; being very close by should you need any information or help, but never made to feel uncomfortable - we felt more like visiting friends than guests. The shared use of their fabulous garden was heavenly, with ample space for our dogs to safely play with us, enjoy al fresco dining or just relax with a good book and enjoy the tranquility and, luckily for us, some sunshine too! Lovely long & short walks from the door step and ideally placed for visits to Cambridge, Colchester, Saffron Waldron, Imperial War Museum at Duxford, a trip to the coast and all the beautiful surrounding villages in the area. Finchingfield being exceptionally pretty! Would not hesitate to return to stay again, a perfect relaxing stay and with the option to rent both apartments we all had our own space which was perfect! Family of 4 stayed over for 3 nights to attend a wedding at the castle nearby. After 4 attempts to get the go ahead for the wedding due to covid restrictions it was finally nice to get it sorted out. I booked Pond view over a year ago and unfortunately had to cancel each time the wedding was cancelled, chris the owner of pond view was very understanding and we kept in touch throughout. What a lovely place, great views, great walks, great gardens to sit and and have a BBQ & drink or two, very quiet, very clean and very well maintained, like a home from home with everything you need at you fingertips, and if you need anything else just ask chris and his lovely wife who are more than happy to try and help you out. Thank you for a lovely stay, would highly recommend , cant fault it.

A gorgeous setting, great hosts, perfect location. Flat is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and the garden and views are to die for. Our dog is pining to go back!

We stayed here over xmas and I can't rate it highly enough. The owners were absolutely amazing, superb customer service. Very helpful and thoughtful. They even put a little wooden xmas tree with lights and decorations up in the living area. The property is set in the middle of nowhere and a car would be essential for getting there, but once you're there, there is a pub, shop, Indian and pizza place within a 10 minute walk of the place. You can walk your dog on a lead around the field right behind the property as well. The owners even let you use the hot and cold water tap they have outside so you can clean the dogs paws! The place was immaculate, really clean and well equipped. The space was perfect, the living area being a kitchen/diner/living room. Very social area. The bed we slept in was very comfy and the room was plenty big enough. The garden was absolutely beautiful. Two moorhens live on the pond that come and forage on the lawn, lovely to look at. Sadly it was way too cold to enjoy the garden from outside, but it had everything you would need. There were people staying in the property above, but we barely heard them, the walls seemed very thick and noise insulated. I'd definitely come and stay here again if I was in the area, it's a lovely place. My only gripe, and it's a really small one is that the towels weren't very big or fluffy - a nice big fluffy bath sheet would have made it perfect. This wouldn't make any difference to my recommendation though, it's practically perfect. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome.

Our stay was perfect, the hosts really helpful. The house was really comfortable for 4 people and a dog, very well equipped and in a great countryside location. Excellent for walks.

This is a very nicely located cottage, both comfortable and fitted to a high standard Chris and Epie were kind and helpful and even provided some food to feed the fish in their pond. We visited Duxford for an air show, Hedingham castle on a jousting day , Colne valley steam railway, the beautiful village at Finchingfield and had a cruise on the river Stour around Sudbury to the wonderful Henny Swan pub!

Beautiful countryside, good pubs and restaurants, comfortable place to stay, lovely garden, friendly owners, excellent stay.

The accommodation was clean, spacious and of a good size. The owners are friendly, helpful and conveniently live in the adjacent house. It occupies a rural setting with lovely views out of the kitchen area window across fields and views out of the bedroom windows across the owners garden. The sitting area has a settee and two single chairs. The dining area is complete with pine table and chairs. The main bedroom is of a good size with plenty of storage space, however somewhat less in the other bedroom. We all remarked on how comfortable the beds are and I must admit that I did look for the name of the mattress with the idea of replacing ours for the same make. The shower room is of a reasonable size. The shower itself is not the most powerful one I've come across and anyone who has a thick head of hair will have to be patient. For some reason, something that I have found quite common in holiday lets is the lack of a shaver point in the bathroom, and this one is the same. I've learned to bring a two pin adaptor with me now. I plugged this into the power point nearest to the mirror in the kitchen area and the lead just about reached. However, despite these minor niggles we did thoroughly enjoy a stay here and would definitely use this property again, should the occasion arise. I definitely would recommend it to anyone else.
