LOVED THIS PLACE!!!!
What a wonderful fantasy come true. I've always wanted to spend the night in a castle and this one was perfect. More like a large manor house, but it does have towers, crinolated roof and more. They have two rental units and the family lives in the rest of the castle. Six sisters own and live there. They are all delightful. There is a beautiful courtyard and a huge Italian garden with incredible views over the valley. As a guest, you are free to wander the grounds to your heart's content, or sit in the garden and listen to the birds and the bees. Breakfast was incredible. Served in a breakfast room off the HUGE main dining area of the castle complete with old silver, renaissance paintings, marble floors, velvet curtains and huge windows. This was one of the most interesting and enjoyable places we stayed on our month-long trip through Italy. We spent two days here letting ourselves adjust to the time change and recover from jet lag. It was PERFECT.
