Lovely cottage, ideal location for peace and tranquility, but within easy reach of main routes, for travel elsewhere for trips out. Lovely friendly neighbours, and village shop. We enjoyed a great time at Murrayfield. The downstairs was very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The upstairs double room was small with a pitched roof which has no hanging space but was comfortable and as described. Also as stated the stairs were steep...More

About the neighborhood
The best sandy beach in the area is a 10 minutes walk from the village (or you can drive and park there if you prefer). The hotel offers hire of surfboards and wetsuits and in the summer there is a beach cafe and a lifeguard.

Scenic walks from the village also take you to St Abbs Head with superb clifftop views and nature reserve famed for seabirds including puffins.

The fishing harbour still has working boats and hires can be arranged locally for diving and sea angling

The village has a shop and 2 cafes and nearby Coldingham has 2 pubs which can if you like be reached by a 30 minute walk along the traditional route of the Creel Path.
