As we holiday with our dog, we always look for somewhere comfortable with plenty of walking from the door - the beacon delivers both. The house was warm, comfy, with well sound proofed windows, so we could enjoy the lovely sea views, and watch the nesting gulls on the rocks without being kept awake. The walks in the area were...

We have stayed in the Beacon over the last few summers and as soon as we leave the children ( and adults) are counting the sleeps till we return. The Beacon has the most amazing views out to sea and nothing beats eating breakfast enjoying that view what a start to your day! The house is very clean everything you...

The Beacon is a relaxing home from home with all the necessary trimmings for an enjoyable stay, and that is just the house. The view is spectacular looking out to the sea where you can see dolphins/porpoises actually go by (we did and thats not something you can say about just anywhere, which certainly made my Son's day... mine to...

How to pass away the day.<BR><BR>Situated in the village hall which sits precariously on the cliff top in the new Visitors centre, crammed with information and history of St.Abbs Friday there is a market held in the old primary school where you can buy all the local produce.<BR><BR>Scuba Diving is very popular at St.Abbs, the water is very clear around this part of the coast and divers can enjoy the spectacular underwater scenery. There are a number of Boat trips you can do, with Diving , Fishing and Passenger catered for. At Coldingham Square bear right, on to the B6438 remain on this road until you reach St.Abbs.<BR><BR><BR>Traveling North up the A1 from England you will arrive at Berwick upon Tweed continue on the A1 into Scotland for approx. 9 miles until you reach a turning to your right signposted Eyemouth the A1107.Remain on the A1107 bypassing Eyemouth until you reach Coldingham.
