Interaction with guests:Â Our approach is to fit in with what works best for our guests. We tend to leave our guests to their own devices during their stay, so that they can make themselves feel at home but we are absolutely happy for visitors to come and have a chat/ask us questions. We also want guests to feel comfortable that they can contact us at any time should any problems arise. We're contactable via call, text or in person and we are happy to be contacted by any of these methods.
Beautiful accommodation. Very clean, everything we needed for a short break. Ideally situated to visit Great Yarmouth and surrounding area. Will definitely return.

Cancelled before we even arrived !!
My wife and I were due to stay at Stones Cottage WC 4th of July. We have appointments booked for the whole week ahead. The booking was made through Hoeseasons Cottages and the final balance was taken from my credit card last week. Therefore, fully paid. Just had a call from Hoeseasons to say that the owner has called them to say 'He has taken another booking, therefore please cancel mine'.
Marvelous. We have just over two weeks before our trip and are now scratching around trying to find alternate accommodation. The lady from Hoeseasons who gave us the bad news was embarrassed to say the least. My assumption is that the owner is either disorganised and double booked, or has taken another booking at a better rate.
Not happy !

Hi Scroby 99. As has hopefully since been explained to you by Hoeseasons/Cottages.com, they experienced a backend system failure at the time of your booking, which meant that confirmation emails were not sent out to property owners. Unfortunately, as a result, we were not made aware of your booking and therefore believed that those dates were available to guests placing bookings directly with us, via TripAdvisor or AirBnB. We can assure you that there was nothing nefarious on our part and we would have been absolutely delighted to welcome you to Stone Cottage.
We are also disappointed that this external error occurred, as we personally pride ourselves in providing customers (both potential and confirmed) with the welcoming and efficient service, that we ourselves would like to receive. We hope that our previous reviews, one or two of which are from returning customers, put your mind at rest that this was an unfortunate error on the part of a third party agent, as opposed to our own processing of your booking, or anything personal. Lovely Stay
Stone Cottage is well thought out, spotlessly clean and ideally situated in the village. Craig is a perfect host - leaves you to your own devices but is on hand if any problems arise.

Excellent accommodation
Loved my stay at this dog friendly cottage with secure courtyard garden overlooking the horses. Very clean, well furnished and cosy. Only slight criticism is the trellis used to cover the barbed wire fence could be higher to prevent any doggy accidents.

Perfect holiday home.
A home from home very impressed there was everything you need to hand Iron, hairdryer, towels, dishcloth, tea towels, you name it it was there, a welcome pack was great. A very handy place to just unwind, the wildlife was amazing, not only horses but we saw deer, partridges, doves, all this in the private courtyard, and a very friendly robin. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone. we will be back.

Amazingly Relaxing
Stone Cottage is a beautiful holiday base. It is immaculate inside and has all the things you need for a wonderful break from a hectic life. We took our 5 year old cockerpoo for her first holiday (150 miles from home) and she loved it. There are lots of lovely walks in the countryside and on nearby beaches. We met friends and took our dogs on Gorleston Beach (not far away). It is dog friendly and even has a Dog Coffee Shop (owners allowed as well.) Ormesby has all the usual amenities of village life including as excellent Fish & Chip shop! Craig the owner of the Cottage is a lovely young man and always on hand if you need him (we didn't(, All in all a wonderful and relaxing stay. We shall return. Forgot about the 6 horses in the field next door. Wonderful!

Excellent
Just had a great week at this delightful cottage. Craig makes the ideal host, helpful but unobtrusive. From the good off road parking, to sitting in the lounge watching the wildlife outside there is nothing to complain about. An ideal base for exploring the coast or Norfolk Broads. Set in a delightful village with all the local facilities you may need.

Quality stay
Stayed for 5 days in this charming cottage.Met by Craig who is a great guy with his communication and makes you feel really welcome.The accomodation is first class with everything you need for a comfortable stay for both of us and the dog,The village itself is very welcoming with pub takeaways garage and village shop.Nearby Hemsby ,Winterton and Great Yarmouth are nice places with great facilities a little further afield is Cromer which again is a very nice place and would come recommended.

ideal for a short stay
Booked this at short notice to visit a relative close by. Found Craig very helpful and welcoming,he met us on arrival and explained the facilities. Accommodation was perfect for our requirements, we were able to park off road and were able to take our dog and the area had good dog walking. Very clean, warm and comfortable. we would happily stay again.

We have a bus stop directly outside the property and another a few meters up on the opposite side, great for cyclists and a train station 10 mins away by car
