This delightful fully equipped self-catering holiday house has:

About the neighborhood
Azille is a winemaking town within the Minervois wine area, with several wine tasting and sales outlets in and around the town for the good local wines. Azille hosts a number of festivals and markets during the year, including the annual Feria which is usually held around the end of April/start of May, a Feast of wineries in July, night markets in August, and a Feast of Autumn in October.

There are regular Vide Grenier (bric-a-brac/antique) markets held in Azille. Also, there are several good weekly town markets in the area including in Olonzac on Tuesdays, and Lézignan-Corbières on Wednesdays.

Getting around
Azille is a rural town that is near several bigger regional and tourist towns. It is easy to get a rail connection to within 30 minute's drive from Azille.

There is a daily bus to and from Carcassonne, but for general travel throughout the region it is essential that you have use of a car. If needed, car hire is available nearby from Narbonne, Carcassonne, Beziers, Perpignan, Montpellier, Toulouse or further afield, or from one of the airports in the region. Carcassonne has a regional airport, Toulouse has a regional European airport, and Barcelona (3 hour's drive) is the nearest large international airport.

There are many ways to get to Azille.

For overseas visitors there is a range of flight options including travelling via Paris, Toulouse, London or Glasgow (both flying into Carcassonne), or Barcelona, to name a few. France has many internal flights and there are lots of rail options from very fast to slower regional trains.

Fast TGV trains come from many points within France including Paris (some from Charles de Gaulle airport), Lyon, Bordeaux, Nimes and Avignon. Trains connect to Montpellier (3.5hrs from Paris), Beziers (4.25 hrs from Paris) or Narbonne (4.5 hrs from Paris). There is also a fast train from Barcelona that can take you to Perpignan (1.5 hrs), Narbonne (2 hrs) or Beziers (2.5 hrs) from all of which you can drive to Azille in a short journey.
