North Pacific Cannery Museum, a National Historic Site, is the Cassiar Cannery's nearest attraction at 3.5km up the road. The museum has a bus stop for the Prince Rupert area bus route.

If you are not planning on putting your feet up on the waterfront deck and watching the world pass you by, a vehicle is highly recommended.
