Bracken Cottage is a lovely cottage to rent in the New Forest. The cottage is located on the edge of the popular village of Sway and provides direct access to the New Forest, with ponies, donkeys and cattle frequently coming up to the gate. Bracken Cottage is a new rental property for April 2012 and has been recently redecorated to a high standard and sleeps up to 8 adults comfortably in 4 bedrooms. The position of the cottage could not be better for a family holiday. Right in the heart of the New Forest, with the station and facilities in Sway within walking distance. The owners were flexible about checking in and out times. Would highly recommend staying in this cottage

Lovely family cottage perfectly situated.Lots of useful information and maps provided.Had a perfect family reunion from Newcastle and London and ponies tried to get into the garden as requested for our granddaughter!

Great location for a family holiday....beaches, shopping, cycling.The cottage had a lovely feel and was a perfect size for 4 adults and 4 teenagers.

On the ground floor there is:

- a modern kitchen with a fridge, gas hob, an electrical fan oven and a microwave;
- an open plan sitting room with an open fire leading into an adjoining dining room;
- a loo; and
- a bedroom with a double bed.

On the first floor the cottage offers: a large landing off which there is a family bathroom incorporating a bath with a shower, a basin and a loo and three further bedrooms, bedroom one and bedroom three with double beds and one further bedroom with twin beds. All of the bedrooms have attractive aspects and two overlook the open forest.

We can accept Cheques bank transfers (BACS) including international BACS transfers or payments made through Paypal. We can often accommodate weekends too Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday nights we ask for £400.
To date we have not used the available online booking system but if that is an important factor for any guest and they would feel more comfortable using that facility please do ask us and we will do so. Please note that for 2018 we are asking for £140 per night minimum stay 3 nights or £420 thats £980 per week for all months other than July-August (minimum stay 1 week) Christmas week and New Year week which are £180 per night or £1,260 per week.

Sway is a village in the New Forest National Park. The parish was formed in 1849 when 2208 acres were taken from the neighbouring parish of Boldre. Sway now has a population of 3,350 and an electorate of 2,780 (2007 figures). Lying as it does within easy walking of the open Forest and some four miles north of the Georgian town of Lymington with its boating facilities and the Solent coastline it is an attractive place to live or to visit, with travel being made easier by the award winning station on the main line from Waterloo to Weymouth.
