My wife and I stayed for a week in early May to celebrate our anniversary and the whole experience could not have been improved upon.
A large fountain pool in front of the building welcomes you to serene paradise. The building entrance and all sidewalks in the area have ramps for easy access for all. You are greeted each time you enter or leave the building by the friendly 24/7 doormen and the office provides cab reservations, printing services and advice. The entire building has polished marble floors, beautiful architecture which captures cooling breezes and upscale building materials throughout.
The pool lounge offers large comfortable chairs for reading or relaxing and purple bougainvillea blossoms drift from he condo above onto the lounge floor throughout the day. The infinity pool is kept immaculate with 2 stair accesses and two powerful relaxing Jacuzzi spas. Clouds and sunsets reflect in the pool.
Gated private beach access from the pool offers lounges and chairs in a discretely-fenced area that is raked to perfection each morning and throughout the day. The beach is ideal for strolling , walking into resort restaurants , swimming and a lifeguard is present all day right in front.
50 or more pelicans dive and fish in the ocean immediately in front of the building and majestic Frigate birds circle overhead all day long.
The condo unit is beautifully appointed with designer furniture, big comfortable pillows, lovely paintings in each room, colorful painted walls, 2 TVs, free strong, secured WiFi (even accessible from the pool area) and Ipod docking, Double sliders in both the living and bedroom open to a huge terrace with chairs and dining table, overlooking the pool and ocean. We left all the sliders wide open all day and night and enjoyed cooling breezes and the sound of the waves breaking nearby. The king bed is so comfortable and the kitchen with new stainless appliances and high-chaired bar has every convenience you could want to gourmet cook.
The neighborhood is a joy to walk along the Marina and on the jetty and is within blocks of nearby grocery-convenience stores, gift shops, beach clothing boutiques, restaurants and cafes located waterside, riverside and tucked into lush, tropically-landscaped hideaways. Eddie's restaurant right across the street offered excellent breakfast, lunch, dinner...meals from hamburgers, soups, salads, scrumptious HUGE coconut shrimp to Mexican entrees, steak and marvelous seafood with music nightly and right on the beautiful Marina promenade, which sparkles with outdoor, decorative lighting at night. Eddie's even prepared and gifted us an exquisite, special dessert for our anniversary! Excellent seafood, Mexican, Italian and other international ethnic restaurant are also a 10 minute cab ride away. Owner Ian provides you all the details of dining and attractions. Water sports, snorkeling, whale and dolphin watching, sailing and water taxi are located steps away.
We could not have enjoyed a more wonderful time during our short our week at the Torre Cobolto. We highly recommend you visit this tranquil and perfect paradise.
