About the neighborhood
Bargemon is a charming village in the Haut-Var region of Provence, an area characterised by vineyards, densely wooded forests and rolling hills, upon which perch ancient former fortress towns. Nestled amongst olive groves, vineyards and rolling wooded countryside, the village still retains vestiges of its medieval architecture and fortified walls.
Once you've finished exploring the village, then you'll be amazed to find out just how many exciting things there are to do and see all within a hour of Bargemon village. From traditional Provençal markets, to wine tasting, hiking, golf, cycling, kayaking, gorge-walking, beaches and climbing, the region offers something for absolutely everyone to enjoy.
Getting to Bargemon is most easily done by picking up a hire car at either Nice or Toulon airports and driving the 75min trip. However, once you're in Bargemon, you can easily park up and forget your car for the first few days of your stay as there is so much to do within easy walking distance of The Keep. But once you've had your fill of exploring the ancient city streets and enjoying the swimming pool and tennis court in the chateau garden, you will find lots to do just a short drive from the village.
