About the neighborhood
Casitas La Fe is located just two to three blocks from Playa Zicatela. It is a 3 minute walk to the main surf break and to the commercial strip of Playa Zicatela. We are adjacent to Hotel Dan and a very nice café called Dan's Café Deluxe. We are two blocks from the main road for getting around town and we have very good public transportation via taxi, bus and colectivo. We are centrally located in town so you can easily go in either direction to explore and variety of beaches and neighborhoods. We have on street parking right in front and it is a side road lightly traveled. Other than surfing and swimming and beach walking which are favorites here you can also enjoy the following activities. You can explore beautiful lagoons, hot springs, waterfalls. You can swim in the river, ...
How to get there
You can also fly into Huatulco airport (HUX) which is 1.5 hours away and then taxi or bus to Puerto Escondido. There are more flights going into Huatulco so may give you more options. If you walk 5 minutes out, just past the airport gate, you can get a non airport taxi for $500 to $800 pesos. Bus for about $45 to $50 pesos. Taxis are safe around here. The airport taxi vans charge about $100 U.S. to get to Puerto Escondido and it's a nice comfy ride with AC. They can take 10 to 12 people so sometimes you can share a ride.
