Note: Sloping ceilings in bedrooms with limited headroom. The cottage is situated right next door to the farm house on a working farm with farm workers, tractors and animals, we have a small, quiet, campsite here too. Region: For an enticing mix of old and new, County Laois is ideal, with castles and art galleries attracting visitors whilst the tranquil pastureland, forest trails and mountainous scenery of the county make the perfect escape. Town: The town of Abbeyleix lies in the south of County Laois, close to the border of County Kilkenny. The town offers a number of historical structures, such as ringforts, burial grounds and churches. The town also has a number of shops and pubs, including Morrissey's, one of IrelandÂ’s finest and best loved pubs.

My kids and I spent a lovely week in High Nelly cottage, we only wish it had of been for longer, as none of us wanted to leave, what a lovely place to stay in an idyllic cottage in a lovely setting. Thanks Louise for allowing us to stay there
