The pool has 4 bar stools, a full-length bench to sit and enjoy the view of the Caribbean sea.
The Villa and pool have the benefit of being on 2 lots consisting of 40 meters of sandy beachfront. Soliman Bay offers some of the area’s best snorkeling right from the water's edge or use one of the kayaks to go out to the buoy and snorkel by the reef that protects the Bay. Swim with the turtles enjoy the wide variety of tropical fish and more. With so many options of how to spend your days relaxing by the beach, pool, lounging in a hammock enjoying the ocean breeze or enjoying the view of the Bay from the covered veranda that runs the full length of the Villa. Stroll down the beach to one of the best beach restaurants enjoy a icy cold drink and a seafood lunch or take a short drive into Tulum and sample some of the best restaurants Mexico has to offer, do a little shopping in all the funky stores and don’t forget Tulum is famous for its beautiful powdery white sandy Beaches and Mayan Ruins.
The Villa’s location is perfect for day trips to the area’s best adventure attractions including Cenotes, Mayan Ruins; diving, snorkeling, fishing the list is endless. Then come back to the comforts of Casa Tortuga enjoy a home cooked meal that you prepare in the fully equipped indoor or outdoor kitchen or hire our chef to prepare a gourmet meal for your group. The outdoor kitchen barbecue area gives you the option to enjoy dinner outside in the covered patio area that seats 12. Either way, you are sure to enjoy yourself, sit back relax and enjoy.
The Villa has two separate levels connected by covered beachfront patios on the lower level and covered veranda for the upper level.
The 2 separate lower level beachfront bedrooms both with king beds, air conditioning, supplied bottled water, private ensuite bathrooms, and their own private entrances. Covered patio area to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Several windows and ceiling fans to enjoy the beautiful ocean views and breeze.
The newly renovated upper level has an open great room area with 10-foot ceilings, a fully equipped kitchen/dining area for 10, island with eating bar, large living room with comfortable furniture, flat screen HD TV, DVD player and stereo, main full bathroom with double sinks off of the great room area and 2 bedrooms.
Bedroom #1 has two queen beds & double futon, A/C, Safe (futon can be moved into any bedroom or the open great room living area)
Bedroom #2 has a king bed, two entrances one off the palapa covered beach-side veranda that runs the full length of the villa, as well as from the main living area hallway. closet, wall safe, A/C, Full ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom #3 Lower Beach level with a king bed private ensuite bathroom, A/C and closet space.
Bedroom #4 Lower Beach level with king bed, private ensuite bathroom, AC and closet space, wall safe.
The lower beach level covered patio area with seating plus a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and dining area.
You can access the upper level from the back of the villa and the side of the villa. Exterior lighting lights up the pool area and property providing a perfect setting to enjoy your evening outside.
Beach palapa with two hammocks, 2 double and 1 single kayak to use & life vests. 2 paddle boards and some snorkeling equipment such as fins however we recommend you bring your mask, snorkel and water shoes.
Note: no inside access between the main level and lower level.

Casa Tortuga was just what we needed, a safe place to get away, unwind, relax, unplug and reconnect with our closest friends. We enjoyed the mornings walking the beach in either direction, spending the afternoons lounging around the private pool enjoying cocktails and the warm ocean breeze, followed by a little siesta and Samuel’s amazing home cooked meals and of course, lots of wine! We dined on bacon wrapped prawns, lasagna, tortilla soup, chicken cordon blue, freshly prepared fish, and steak & lobster (not all in one night of course) but this gives you an idea of the menu available during your stay! The meals were fantastic, and the portions were very generous, often leaving leftovers for us to have at lunch the next day. I miss the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach in the evenings and look forward to the day we can return again, it's like having your own private resort! Thank you, Samuel and Marisela for taking care of everything during our stay and GREAT BIG HUGE THANK YOU to our wonderful host Cheryl, for sharing your vacation villa with us, it’s an absolutely lovely place to holiday!

Wonderful, just wonderful
A group of 7 friends rented casa tortuga for 5 nights and had an amazing time.
We had all done the all inclusive hotels before and wanted something a little more intimate, which is exactly what we got.
From the beginning the owner, Cheryl, is in quick and constant communication answering all questions and concerns. She provides a “guide map” of what to expect etc while at casa T.
Sam is your main host, chef, and concierge during the stay. He responds quickly and eagerly to all requests and is one of the nicest people we have met. His meals are top notch, and he accommodates about any schedule and meal request.
Christina was his helper/ housekeeper during the stay. She cleaned the rooms daily leaving casa tortuga cleaner than most 5 star hotels.
The grounds are great to relax on either at the pool, second story look out couch, or hammocks on the beach with one of Sam’s coco locos. We took kayaks out multiple days and floated among the undersea world at the reef just a short distance from the house.
10/10 experience...wish we could have stayed longer
(Pro tip: just be aware you are a little distance from town and need a car or prepared to pay for a taxi)

Total relaxation
This spot is absolutely amazing. We had four couples staying and it worked perfectly. Everyone had their own private space and their was plenty of common space for everyone to relax in. Paddling out to the reef for some snorkeling and walking town to Chamico's for a drink are a must!
Samuel and Norma were amazing. We had them cook meals at the beginning and end of the trip and we cooked our own food the rest of the time which worked really well. Cheryl is super responsive and easy to work with.
I truly can't say enough good things about this place!
We are already looking at dates to book our next visit here.

Beautiful private house right on the beach!!!
Where do I even start? Our stay was amazing. The property was amazing. The house was amazing. Samuel and Norma were amazing. We were there for 10 days and we didn't want to leave. Perfect place to go to relax on the beach. Make sure you take a walk down the beach each direction to see the other beautiful houses in the area. We took the kayaks and paddleboards out almost daily which was a lot of fun. Samuel is very talented when it comes to cooking, so definitely take advantage of that! I highly recommend his lasagna! We are already planning our next trip back! :)

Outstanding!
Casa Tortuga was everything promised. Our multi-generational family of 11 stayed for seven days and there was plenty of room for all of us to be together, while still enough room for privacy. The grounds were gorgeous and meticulously maintained. Cheryl was available and helped with my many questions before we arrived. And Samuel and Norma! They were the stars of the trip!! Samuel prepared gourmet breakfasts and dinners for us every day. He also grocery shopped for us, arranged travel for all of us, and was always available for questions. He truly made our trip a wonderful holiday vacation. Casa Tortuga is a lovely and private spot on Soliman Bay. You will not be disappointed!

Very relaxing
I found my first trip to Casa Tortuga very relaxing! The weather was the best and the accommodations were excellent! The pool was beautiful and the views were amazing. The ocean and beautiful bay were just a matter of a few steps from the house. Samuel cooked up the most amazing meals! There were plenty of sites to see and shopping within a 30 minute radius! I will definitely be going back!!

amazing place
Casa tortuga is a beautiful beachfront house big enough for our family and friends. We had an amazing time. The house was clean and neat every time we came back from our tours. Samuel and Norma are really nice people, Samuel is an excellent cook, the food they cooked for us was delicious. The kids had an awesome time in the pool, they loved it! We enjoyed the amazing views of the ocean from the house. Even though there was some sargazo on the beach, it didn't stopped us from enjoying the activities on the ocean. We got to do some kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling and swim on the beach that was nearby. There are amazing cenotes very close to the house to enjoy as well as Xelha water park which is beautiful.

Outstanding!
Casa Tortuga is an amazing place to stay! We immediately lost track of time while enjoying the quiet beach, with its amazing views and exceptional snorkelling/kayaking/paddleboarding. We felt right at home, yet with staff Samuel and Norma taking wonderful care of the place... and serving us awesome meals each evening - Samuel is a great chef! We highly recommend trying his specialties during your stay: coconut or bacon-wrapped shrimp, steak and lobster, lasagna, fajitas, and of course fresh margaritas. It was great to enjoy restaurant-quality meals right there - letting us make the most of our time on the beach, instead of going out for dinner (or cooking!) We enjoyed visiting Xel-Ha marine park, and a nice cenote park, both very close by - but honestly, the best activities were kayaking around, walking and exploring the beach, and snorkelling right in front of the property. The peaceful feeling of this vacation home was absolutely perfect for us to make great memories with our kids. We just can't wait to go back!

Week of solice
The most amazing week we’ve ever spent on holidays. From the moment we arrived, Samuel had margaritas for us followed by a gourmet dinner. The food was so fantastic, we asked Samuel to cook dinner each nite -a huge recommend. We snorkeled right out front, went paddle boarding and kayaking daily. The best day was swimming at cash tortuga Cenotes -what an experience! Only a 10 minute drive. Bobs store by the hotel was super handy. We had our own rental car and found this handy for our day trips and shopping in Tulum. We were 6 in our group ranging in age from 22 to 57 and there was something for everyone. Loved it so much we can’t wait to return !

Paradise!!
What an amazing vacation!!
The location is perfect. The beach is 10 steps from your door, the pool is right there too.
Nothing in front of you but the bright blue ocean. Snorkel, kayak, paddle board in the ocean or lounge by the pool.
We had our meals prepared by Samuel and Norma and they were awesome !!
Such lovely hospitable people.
We had them pick up some groceries and alcohol so we didn’t have to( small fee)totally worth it.
Very Clean rooms, amazing kitchen both upstairs and downstairs.
Owner very easy to deal with.
We had some questions before we arrived and she got back to us right away.
Just can’t say enough about this rental!!

Casa Tortuga is located in the private community of homes on pristine Soliman Bay, in the southern Mayan Riviera of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Soliman Bay is situated about 110 km (66 miles) south of the Cancun Airport. The entrance to Soliman Bay from Highway 307 is across from the Oscar y Lalo Restaurant, about 4 km south of the Xel Ha Snorkel Park. Akumal, Mexico is 11 km to the north and Tulum, Mexico is 11 km to the south of the Soliman Bay.
Getting around
I do recommend renting a vehicle or we use Canada Transfers to get from the airport, Samuel can help you arrange taxi's.

How to get there
The entrance to Casa Tortuga is approximately 110 km south of the Cancun airport. It is 11 km south of Akumal and 11 km north of Tulum. Depart the Cancun airport and turn south (right) onto Highway 307. Travel through Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, and Akumal. Approximately 11 km south of Akumal, you will arrive at the Xel Ha snorkel park. The road to Soliman Bay is 4km south, across the road from the Oscar y Lalo seafood restaurant. The highway is divided at that point and you cannot turn left. Pass the restaurant, travel 500 m and turn around you will see a RETORNO sign left lane. Travel north 500 m and turn to the right on the road to the bay. In approximately 1.5 km you will arrive at the security checkpoint. The security will ask you which Villa you are going to. Tell him Casa Tortuga You then travel parallel to the beach (on the left) for approximately 1 km. Casa Tortuga will be on the left next to Maya Jardin. Almost at the end of the Beach road.
