We stayed at Papaya Plus from May 10th to June 7th, 2015
I must start by saying that Christian was very easy to converse with over the length of our booking, hats off to you, even as we went through our ordeal last September. Thank you Christian & Elena for your understanding.
The reception at the condo was extremely simple, Mauricio greeted us as soon as we arrived, showed around the condo and took us up to the roof to see the pool, spa and beautiful view of Cozumel. Mauricio touched base with us over our month long stay periodically to make sure everything was going okay, it’s nice to have that personal touch with your concierge.
The condo is just as you see in the photos, amazing. First thing we noticed was that the unit was very clean. If you’re looking for home away from home, this is the place, full kitchen, two bathrooms which comes in handy, and a very nice patio. The rooftop pool was great, perfect size for a few laps to cool down. We spent 4 or 5 days up on the roof and it was only just my wife and I, nice and quiet.
If you’re heading to the beach you’re a 8 minute walk on 8th street, 5th Ave is about 5 minute walk, the condo is on a very quiet street, 6th Bis, don’t mind the neighbor’s rooster in the morning, you’ll get used to it, lol!! There are plenty of restaurants and shopping near the condo. Walmart is just around the corner, OXXO is even closer(corner store), water is also included in your rental price which is a nice little perk, means you don’t have to carry jugs of water from the store.
If I have one negative is that the common area on the rooftop does not open until 8:00am. If you’re an early riser like me and want to enjoy your morning coffee on the rooftop to feel the early morning breeze you won’t be able, but rules are rules and they’re made for a reason, so no worries, this did not change how much we enjoyed this condo unit.
We hope to stay here again May of 2016, flights are already booked.
