Just steps away from everything, the location is unbeatable! The apartment accommodates 2 people and is smartly equipped to make it your home away from home. The Space ________ Our studio apartment is cozy, bright and airy. It has high ceilings and skylights. It was especially conceived and designed for short-term stays. Casa de Benito is decorated in a transitional colonial style with authentic Talavera tiles and dishes from Puebla, traditional textiles and pottery from Oaxaca, and art crafts from all over Mexico. For your well-being and convenience, all the water in the premises passes through a 3-filter system and is pressurized. In the kitchen you will find a special tap that dispenses purified drinking water. Guest Access ___________ You have private access to the studio apartment. The bedroom has a calm feeling and invites you to a good night's sleep in the queen-size bed with high-quality mattress and linens. The kitchen is equipped with gas stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, pots and pans, glasses, dishes, cutlery, etc. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. A hairdryer is provided, as well as common toiletries such as shampoo, soap, tissues etc. There is a hallway with storage for your luggage and a closet for your clothes. Interaction with Guests __________________ We live in the adjacent house and are reachable by phone or via messages. We provide you with a cell phone for you to use during your stay with us. We will be happy to give you tips for your explorations. The Neighborhood _______________ Casa de Benito is excellently located. All the city's main sights and attractions are just a 5 to 15 minute walk from the apartment. The studio apartment is two blocks north of Santo Domingo (Oaxaca's main monument-church). Its entrance is on a private alley behind the house. The picturesque Plaza de la Santa Cruz is a pedestrian-only area so there is only local traffic around the building, which makes Casa de Benito one of the quietest places to stay in town. On the west side of the plaza you will enjoy the views of the old colonial aqueduct. To the east there is a beautiful garden (Jardín Conzatti) and a large park (el Llano) only one and two blocks away respectively. The 'Andador turístico' -downtown's main street- is just two blocks south of Xolotl Street. Other Things to Note ________________ For stays over 4 nights, twice a week the apartment is thoroughly cleaned; you get fresh towels and bed linens each time. Laundry and dry-cleaning services are just a couple of steps away. If you have your own car, we can give you access to street parking right in front of the apartment. The alley is gated. For confirmed guests, we email out a welcome guide to the apartment and with tips for your stay, including detailed directions. More
