The studio worked out perfect for us. It was so nice to wake up to the beautiful red poinsettia trees in the garden right out our window. Good location in quiet, safe area. Very comfortable bed & nice bathroom / shower. Private space; good for couples. Owner is very nice & helpful. Easy to get taxis nearby.

We were so happy to find this nice little studio apt. We walked to the San Angel markets and nearby good restaurants. We were also close to Coyoacan and visited Frida's home and other nice areas. There was a nearby metro station and so all of the city was available to us. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed was comfortable, and the apt was sunny, clean and bright. We especially thank Regina for all her help during our visit. She lives in the same building and was always available if we needed anything. We usually stay in the centro historico but we have a new favorite spot now and we will stay here the next time we are in the city!

About the neighborhood
San Ángel is a colonia or neighborhood of Mexico City, located in the southwest in Álvaro Óbregon borough. Historically, it was a rural community, called Tenanitla in the pre-Hispanic period. Its current name is derived from the El Carmen monastery school called San Ángel Mártir. San Ángel still contains many of its former historic buildings and El Carmen is one of the most visited museums in the city. It is also home to an annual flower fair called the Feria de las Flores.

To work to preserve the area’s rural layout and historic buildings, San Ángel was made the city’s first Patrimonial Cultural Tangible de la Ciudad de México (Tangible Cultural Heritage of Mexico City) in 2008. It was also designated as a "Barrio Mágico" by the city in 2011.
