About the neighborhood
La Presa is the best neighborhood in Guanajuato (in my opinion!)- you can find everything you need within a few blocks- ATM, pharmacy, convenience store, corner store, cyber cafe, taco truck, restaurants, cafes, yoga studio, boutique shops, and more. Lots of parks, playgrounds, a small lake, and easy access to hiking trials in the mountains make it great for outdoor lovers and kids. Away from the noise of downtown, it is quiet at night so you can sleep well. Buses run frequently until 9pm (5 pesos/US$0.30) and taxis all night long and cost around US$3. It is also an enjoyable 30 minute stroll to the center- only a small incline and you don't have to walk through any tunnels. La Presa also has easy access to the highway to get to the airport
A car is not needed within Guanajuato city- most attractions are easier to access on foot or by bus. Street parking available. Airport pickup can be arranged for an additional fee.

How to get there
Guanajuato is a city of stairs- the apartment is located about three flights up from the main road, but with a ramp most of the way. Free workout and better views! Free street parking available, city bus stops right at the bottom of the street and runs frequently during the day.
