While you can walk to all of the activities just listed, taxis are readily available and cost approximately $4.00 USD. You may wish to take a cab home if you are carrying groceries,etc. This property sits on a hill to get the incredible view you get with this place Relax and enjoy a margarita at the beautiful common area pool. You can watch the whales jump and play during whale season. The famous Malecon Promenade and beach are only 0.5 km away! You may want to watch the elegant, beautifully illuminated cruise ships arrive early each morning and depart each evening. Welcome to the wonderful sights and sounds of Puerto Vallarta!

Fantastic apartment with amazing view and great owner
My wife and I rented this apartment from Tony for 18 days and when we arrived we thought that the views could not be as good as reported. Wow were we wrong, the view is just sensational and the apartment is true to the pictures and has everything that you need. If there is something that you do need, Tony is very quick to arrange it for you. Like other renters have said previously, it is a hell of a hike from the Malecon back up to the apartment but an Uber was normally only around 50pesos to be dropped at the steps on Calle Allenede. We found that walking up 31 Octubre was a lot easier as it was steep the flat so you get a break. Taco de Birria Alex on Allende was delicious as was Tacos el Chopo just a bit below Alex. Tacos Leony on 31 Octubre were also delicious, and at the bottom of the street almost, Pellizcadas was a wonderful local restaurant. We had the pool to ourselves most days which was lovely. All round I would happily recommend this apartment and stay there again.

Outstanding condo
Amazing condo and view the place is decorated beautifully and huge everything you need is in the condo.Tony was excellent any questions or needs he always always there and super quick.Coming back next year

Million $$ Views - live like a local
We had planned our holiday to Mexico for a number of years, coming from New Zealand is a long way - we spent 13 days in Puerto Vallarta and just loved the town. I did a lot of research about places to stay. We are independent people so wanted our own apartment, to come and go as we please, live more like a local person rather than a tourist and of course something that worked with our budget. The apartment is very large with spectacular views. The location of the building means you are not overlooked by other condo's - in fact you are doing the over looking - so its private - which is rare in PV. Its located in the old town, there is a mix of original housing and modern condominum buildings surrounding the building. As others have stated it is up a very steep hill (hence the views) and we had to use Uber transport - but they are very efficient so we were on the Malecon within minutes - either end of the Malecon. Cost of uber was between $3-10USD depending where on Malecon we were wanting to go, most trips no more than $5USD.
Tony, the manager, and his wife are very accessible - only a text away - they are on time when meeting you on arrival and departure.
The apartment furnishings are in need of updating, the master bedroom needs a large master bed. Its such a gorgeous apartment, a little attention to these details would see it a 5 star level rating.
The view is a million $$, the size of the apartment is fantastic - there is space for everyone. The balcony allows you to enjoy sunrise and sunsets in a prime location. We would rate this a 3 star rating out of 5. The views and size of the apartment - 5+ rating, the location 4 star.
It is good value for money.
We would absolutely stay again and recommend it to others.

Great place
We loved the condo. It was clean, comfortable and had a great view. The location was pretty central. The climb up was challenging but we mostly took a cab home. (60-80 pesos) Tony was very responsive and got back to us right away regarding any questions or issues that we had. I would definitely recommend this cond.

Breathtaking
The condo and all its amenities were above average. The view from the hill is gorgeous. You are able to capture downtown Puerto Vallarta & the Malacon. Although, the condo is located on the hill, it is still very lovely. My friends and I had no problem walking down. But, of course it all depends on each individual. There is always access to a taxi if you choose not to walk. Tony was available for questions, and was present upon our arrival to give us an overview of the property and the amenities. I would definitely recommend this property. Muchas gracias!!

Great place to stay and relax...but....
Our group of 4 had a great time in this condo and other than a couple of days without air-conditioning, our holiday was great.
Problem is....it's now 5 August 2016, we are back in Australia, TRIPADVISOR have not returned the damage deposit that I promptly paid in advance with the balance of the rental cost. There was no damage to the property and the owner/manager have not been able to find out why the damage deposit that should have been returned soon after vacated the property on 6 July 2016.
I lodged an Online Enquiry with TRIPADVISOR ON 26 July 2016 Reference Your query - 07562527 ref:_00DD0rcv8._500D01EKZKZ:ref and to date there has been no response...this bloody slack on behalf of TRIPADVISOR. I hope the TRIPADVISOR review scanner finds this review???????

Two months in Puerto Vallarta
The condo was as pictured and described on TripAdvisor. The views are beautiful and unobstructed. The furnishings, appliances, utensils and soft goods were totally adequate. The building is secure and the elevator takes you to the door.
The property manager, Tony, is extremely anxious to make his tenants happy and is very good at doing just that. He was available at almost all times and quickly resolved any issues we had. He has a city full of contacts and he speaks excellent English.
The property is at the top of a very steep hill and the final leg of the climb is just a rough set of dirt steps cut into a steep mud bank. This is treacherous because of a lot of round stones underfoot that can and do roll.
The location is only suitable if you are a mountain goat or drive a car.
The barking dogs were only quiet in the early mornings when they gave way to the crowing roosters. Not good for light sleepers.

Outstanding Stay
I booked this unit for two reasons. The view and Tony (unit manager). In our six week stay both did not disappoint and were outstanding.
Views were breathtaking. We spent countless hours, morning coffee, during sunsets, and at night with the city lights taking in the truly incredible view. Tony was equally as impressive. Always available and quick to respond to any question , query or concern. I mentioned the unit did not come with a BBQ as we like to cook on one. The next night he arrives with a brand new one. The satellite TV went out on a Sat night and within hours a repair man was there. Having that type of support on a lengthy stay was very important to us,
The condo itself is beautiful and well supplied. Everything you need is there. The location is up a hill (hence the view). We love to walk and had no issues. But if you do, a 4-5 dollar cab ride is your option.
Loved our stay and look forward to returning.

¡Vistas fabulosas!
My husband and I stayed at Torre Lirios for a week from July 30-August 6. We were greeted by Tony (the property manager) at the airport who took us to our condo downtown. We were pleased to see the condo looking just as beautiful as the pictures show online. It was hard for us to believe that a negative review was written about this place. It really was very nice. Spacious living room and kitchen, nice master bedroom, and large balcony. (The guest bedroom was nice, also, but we didn't use it being that it was just the two of us). There was even a tank of filtered drinking water in the kitchen for our use throughout the week.
Tony equipped us with a cell phone that we were able to use for our stay - calling him when needed, calling taxis, etc. It was a great, unexpected perk.
Although it is a hike to the center of town (and even more so back up the hill to the condo), taxis were only $50 pesos (or a little over 3 USD) per trip. However, without being up on the hill, you would not have the amazing views of the town and ocean! In our opinion, the view outweighs the hike up the hill. The condo also has a very nice pool that we had all to ourselves during the week. Condo is very safe and secure. We had a great vacation and would definitely stay at Torre Lirios again!! :)

Beautiful view from the balcony
We stayed in this condo for about a week in July. The a/c was working well, television worked, and the condo appeared as advertised in the pictures. We really had a great experience with Tony, the manager of the property, who worked with us to ensure airport pickup when we had flight delays. We did not have many concerns pop up during our stay, but any time I needed to get in touch with Tony he made himself available. As other reviews note, this apartment is at the top of a very steep hill. We walked down into town multiple times a day but never made the trek up. However, taxis were very convenient when coming home. Without a doubt the best thing about this condo is the incredible view from the balcony! Sunsets and thunderstorms were absolutely wonderful to watch. We also enjoyed the pool and never saw another person use it any of the times we went for a swim.
