Overview
Condo/Apartment -
2 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 4
Mazatlan, Pacific Coast
My family and I all love our place in Mazatlan, and we think you will too! We are located right in the popular Golden Zone, near the El Cid resort. Walk into the open air reception area at Islas del Sol (the building's name means 'Islands of the Sun'), and you will see the waters of the Pacific Ocean framed by graceful archways. The swimming pool is straight ahead, ringed by palapas (thatched palm umbrellas) and palm trees. A mere ten steps down from the pool area and you are on the beach!

The condo itself is lovely, with an open layout. Open the beautiful native wood door, step inside and enjoy the view - the blue waters of the Sea of Cortes are straight ahead, framed by Deer and Bird Islands. On this floor is a fully equipped kitchenette, dining area and living room. Proceed downstairs and view the 2 bedrooms, each w...

Interaction with guests
If you have any questions prior to your stay, feel free to contact me any time. While in Mazatlan I recommend informing the reception desk if any questions or issues arise (staff at Islas del Sol are very friendly, capable and most are bilingual), however you may also contact me if you wish.

Great location on the beach, fantastic view, friendly helpful staff. There’s a nice little restaurant with the best guacamole we found in Mazatlan. We didn’t bother with the pool since the ocean was so close; loved our daily walks on the beach which goes on...More

About the neighborhood
There are many other activities and possible trips available as well; we would be happy to make recommendations as you enjoy this little slice of paradise. For example, you can arrange kayaking or para-sailing on the beach near El Cid, take a boat to visit the nearby islands, do zip-lining at Huana Coa, visit outlying colonial towns (El Quelite and Concordia) or see a concert or show at the Angela Peralta Theatre in the historic center. You will find a map and some brochures for local activities that we would recommend in the television console drawer in the living room. For current goings on, check the Pacific Pearl local newspaper, available in English and Spanish on line and in hard copy in the building lobby as well.
Getting around
Transportation is plentiful - just walk out to the main road, Camaron Sabalo. There are bus stops immediately to the right and left of the entrance. The 'Sabalo/Centro' bus costs 11 pesos and goes all the way down the Malecon to Mazatlan's Historic Center, or cross the street and take the Sabalo/Cerritos bus in the opposite direction for 8.50 pesos to Cerritos Beach and Playa Bruja. Pulmonias, Mazatlan's native powered up golf carts are a lot of fun; flag one down and give the driver your specific destination. Just be sure to negotiate a price before getting in. There are also many taxis available, if you prefer to be more enclosed while traveling, and I would also advise agreeing on a price first.

How to get there

If this will be your first time to Mazatlan, transportation to and from the airport is usually by taxi (around 350 pesos) or shuttle van (110 pesos). It is approximately a 30 minute ride by cab, longer by shuttle as there are multiple passengers. Prices are based on our most recent visit in summer, 2018.
