Cottage
This luxury 2 bedroom fisherman's cottage is a stone's throw from a small, secluded sandy beach, a short walk from a larger sandy beach and within easy walking distance of the harbour. With a kitchen diner, a cosy living room with a gas log burner, it's a perfect location for a summer break or for cosy winter breaks, suitable for families and couples. The dolphins are frequent visitors to this area of coastline and are regularly seen during the summer months – keep an eye out at all times! The village has an excellent pub, The Admirals, as well as a chemist and post office, local store, and hairdressers. The cottage makes an excellent base for exploring the area - there is plenty to do from golf, castles, whisky distilleries, wildlife watching, or just simply building sandcastles! Findochty (locally pronounced Finechty) oozes character. Wander around the higgly piggledy narrow streets with the many multi-coloured houses to appreciate the real charm of this traditional Scottish village. We love Findochty, we think you will too.More

The cottage has everything you'll need. And very cosy on a stormy evening. The owners were extremely helpful too. If you're heading to the north east, I would highly recommend booking this cute little cottage.

About the neighborhood
Findochty is a picturesque fishing village dating back to as early as the 1400's. It used to be a busy fishing port, but the harbour is now home to leisure boats and used for pleasure. The village has an excellent pub serving meals, a convenience store, chemist and post office. The nearby villages of Portknockie and Cullen are well worth a visit; Portknockie for its rugged coastline and stunning Bow Fiddle Rock and Cullen for its superb beach, unique shops and ice cream - people come from miles around for a Cullen ice cream! Buckie is the nearest town, with all the usual amenities - super markets, petrol station etc. There is also a working harbour.
