'Sonas' is the Gaelic word for peace and quiet, and the property lives up to it's name, offering peaceful and relaxing accommodation for up to five people. The Moray Firth has one of only two resident populations of Bottle-nosed dolphins in Britain and regular boat trips leave from Buckie and Macduff harbours to see them close up. Hundreds of migrating birds as well as otters, seals, eagles and whales can be spottted throughout the year. This holiday cottage is ideal for a birdwatching holiday in Scotland. Sonas cottage is also ideally situated if you are looking for a walking or cycling holiday in Scotland as routes for both are signposted nearby. The property is also a great location for golf lovers, as Moray has many courses-some just a few minutes from the cottage. If you leave the coast and venture in land you could pick up the famous Malt Whisky Trail and partake in a spot of tasting from the various distilleries along the route. Sonas is a charming, stone fisherman's cottage which is ideal for a family group or group of friends. This cosy and wecoming cottage is presented to a high standard with care and attention to detail. Quietly situated up a little side street from the main coastal road, the ground floor has a lovely sitting room with a wood burning stove, a spacious shower room and a well-equipped kitchen with dining area. Both bedrooms are on the upper floor , one a double and one with both a double and a single bed. An adjoining outbuilding not only provides the laundry facilities but also stores the outside furniture for sitting outside the cottage and planning the day's events. The busy town of Buckie is just next door and has its own harbour along with shopping and dining out venues. A lovely part of the world and this sweet cottage will be just perfect. More

Interaction with guests
Keys are collected from a key safe at the back of the cottage. This prevents guests being tied to a definite arrival time. However, the person who looks after the cottage stays just along the road so, if there are any queries, she can pop along at a time that is mutually convenient.
