Girls Catch Up
Lovely big house, location beautiful and Ian our host was very helpful. Plenty space for our annual catch up. Balfron a short drive away with a co-op for any groceries you may need.

Great stay and amazing host!
Great holiday stay! We really enjoyed the relaxed feel of the cottage, and the kitchen was incredible!! Was a little tight for 6 adults and the twin room doesn't have many cupboards/drawers for unpacking, and shower is really small, but the other rooms were stunning with everything you could need!
The climbing frame/trampoline is in the other lawn so sometimes felt like we were imposing on Ians space so it would have been ideal to have something for the kids in the back garden which felt more private to us (even a ball for the goals?) but it didn't impact our stay whatsoever. Ian was so helpful and pleasant from beginning to end, even leaving scones and Prosecco for our arrival! He also provided a brand new BBQ which was really over and above!
We would have found it useful to have a leaflet/ sheet with information on nice walks or things to do/see in the area. We had our dogs with us so was looking for nice local walks, but our Google searches aren't the best!
Hot Tub and view were so good and loved having that to relax in and soak up the scenery!
Thank you so much! We plan to return in the future!

Weekend away
Fab weekend away with the girls for our annual Xmas getaway! Cottage lovely, clean and spacious, plenty room for 7 of us. Ian the host welcomed us with homemade scones which were delicious and made sure we had everything we needed. Cottage had everything we needed for weekend. Views from hot tub amazing and we spent most of the weekend in there, a few of us even had a dip in the river Endrick! We ate out on Saturday night in the Clachan, a few miles from the cottage, food was brilliant! We will definitely return and would recommend to anyone looking for a chilled weekend

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings
My husband, sister and I have just returned from a 4 day stay at Honeyholm Cottage over the New Year period. Ian is a lovely host who goes out of his way to help you in anyway he can. The cottage is spacious and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The hot tub is an added bonus. The views are amazing with lots of nice walks

Lovely semi with fabulous views
Beds very comfortable; single needs a mattress topper. Great views and owner very helpful. Not clear from the photos that 1/2 the garden including play area is owner's garden. Oven and fridge seals gone, needs a professional cleaner as oven not cleaned and coffee maker had mouldy grounds. Cutlery and crocks a mish mash reminiscent of a student digs, could do with investing in a new set of crockery. If you are up for a casual weekend fishing or walking wouldn't be a problem. More difficult when its over the Christmas holidays. Had to empty my mum's kitchen of plates and cutlery, tablecloths and dishes,Only 2 lasagne dishes and a baking tray to use in oven and very little kitchen spoons and ladles. No table mats or protectors or table cloths.Difficult to dry all the towels when using new spa. Owner tried to light a bonfire on Boxing Day next to drive of green material not very helpful when people trying to park vehicles. With a little investment and attention to detail could be excellent.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. As an owner of a small business I value customer feedback. To clarify there was additional cutlery and crockery put in the cottage for the duration of the stay due to there being a family dinner (13 people) taking place. Table mats and cloths are within the kitchen cupboards, sorry you couldn't locate them. The gardens are shared and available for guests to use. Thanks again for leaving a review and staying at The Honeyholm

Quirky location with lovely views.
The property was easy to find from Glasgow. It is actually a semi with the owner living next door. The views are lovely and the river a real novelty. It rained heavily for the two nights we stayed but I imagine there are some great walks nearby. The cottage was very well furnished and spacious. Our only slight negative was the cooker. All the hob and oven markings had rubbed off so a partially sighted person like myself found it extremly difficult to see what temp anything was on.

Delightful & elegant country duplex
We are a family of 4 adult, 2 sons, daughter in law & me traveling from Australia.Initially had a small challenge in locating the property because the sat nav from the postcode went to a property nearby. No problems this added to the fun of our holiday. A quick phone call to Ian and he soon had us sorted.
The property is delightful and elegantly furnished. The fact that each bedroom had its own en suite was a fabulous bonus.
Ian could not have been more welcoming and accommodating for us, going the extra mile (so to speak) .
The location is perfect within reasonable access to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling and other lovely places. It combines peace and tranquility with access to the above places.
Most unlikely that I will be back due to my age (70) and location (Australia) but definitely recommend this property.

Great "home" base for touring this part of Scotland
Loved our week stay at Honeyholm, and the hospitality of Ian. The home, really a large "duplex", is so accommodating (and well located.) We four had lots of room to spread out and enjoy. A spacious kitchen with everything you could possibly want, bedrooms with ensuite baths, a great lounge area that featured a fabulous view of the surrounding countryside with hills beyond, verdant pastures, and rainbows! Yes, a river runs through it! Well appointed and exceedingly comfortable. Could have stayed longer! Yearn to go back!

Most enjoyable
Stayed here for three nights with family .
The welcome we received was lovely as we were shown round the accommodation by Ian . Several ' goodies ' had been left for our arrival amongst them some delicious home made scones ( made by Ian's daughter ) were very enjoyable.
The cottage was very warm and cosy with a lovely log burner. It was very well equipped with everything you could need ( apart from a hairdryer ) but maybe we just didn't find it ? I have mobility issues and the ground floor bedroom with en suite , walk in shower and a toilet with rails around it were perfect for my needs.
The views from the windows were wonderful, a river at the bottom of the garden, a lovely old bridge crossing it and the mountains beyond were a joy to look at.
Wish we could have stayed longer. Would love to return.
