Ground floor cosy self catering flat in the beautiful East Neuk fishing village of St Monans. There is a wood burning stove, a well equipped kitchen with washer/dryer,fridge freezer and gas hob and electric oven. The bathroom has a deep bath with an over bath shower and to keep your feet cosy there is underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. There is a double bedroom and a sofa bed which sleeps two people in the living room. Bring your four legged friend as we are doggie friendly.

Return visit to this house. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, hosts are so friendly and we could take our dogs. Great location.

Couldn’t be better
Stayed in this apartment for a few nights and can only give it 5 stars. Lovely owners and gorgeous Ellie the dog. East Neuk is such a fabulous area and after 3 visits there’s still so much more to see and do. Plenty of info in the accommodation and owners are on hand to offer help if required. Spotless, very well equipped, good location. What more can I say. Thanks Jackie and Carole.

Perfect!
Cannot reccomend Doodles Den enough. We have just returned from our 2nd visit and are looking forward to our next one! The flat itself is spotless and comfortable and is in a great location, not only for visiting St Monans itself but also for visiting nearby beaches and attractions! We were anxious taking our 7 month old baby for his first seaside holiday but Jackie and Carole made us all feel so welcome and our son loved the extra attention! 2 of the kindest, most generous people you will ever meet. It feels like we have come home from visiting friends!

Our Wee Trip to Doodles Den
My husband Bill and I along with our lab Archie spent a very relaxing 3 nights at Doodles Den this week. The flat was spotless and very well appointed and Jackie and Carole excellent hosts. Im away to look at future availability for our next visit !

Beautiful
Doodles Den is a must for those that want to visit this area. Jackie was a wonderful host making sure I had everything I needed for my stay and the little touches were lovely. Breeze loved her biscuits from Ellie. Unfortunately I had to leave early so didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to Jackie or apologise for the sand and the goldie dog hair floating about. The village is beautiful and really friendly with a great choice of dog friendly places locally. My one regret is not being able to stay longer.

Den of total Quality!
On the recommendation of a friend of dog friendly places to go in Scotland I found myself in East Neuk Fife. Initially planning a solo visit with just me and the pooch I came across Doodles Den, which was ideally located to explore the Fife Coast villages.
With about a week to go, a hospital procedure cancellation freed up my mama to join us, luckily the Den comes equipped with an incredibly comfortable sofa bed and Jackie and Carole were amenable to the addition to the party, so we set off.
Travelling with the Mama is always fraught with a certain amount of trepidation due to her very exacting standards with regards cleanliness, noise and comfort... fortunately Doodles Den excelled in every category. The flat is immaculately clean and thoughtfully decorated and equipped with everything you could wish for an enjoyable stay.
St Monans itself is quiet and peaceful and so too is the street the flat is on (well it is now my rescue pooch has been removed - he likes to bark at his shadow ... and the living room plants).
As for Dougal, he loved his visit to Doodles Den, with a garden across the road, a park on the road behind and so many shores to be visited it was dog’s delight!
Jackie and Carole are incredibly friendly and thoughtful hosts. With great attention to detail, they have created the ideal Den to escape the daily grind!

Warmest welcome ever!
If you are looking for accommodation in the east neuk of Fife, honestly just stop looking at anything else and book this now! Carole and jackie have created a lovely apartment with absolutely everything you could need... tin foil, kitchen roll, hand wash at each sink, hairdryer, straighteners .... honestly just turn up with clothes. They gave us the warmest welcome but after that they let you know they are there if you need them and let you enjoy your holiday. Lovely garden across the queit street you can enjoy with picnic bench. Perfect for a glass of wine as the sun goes down. Very comfy furnishings, spotlessly clean. The log burner is such a bonus. So lovely to stay in accom that not only allows dogs but actively welcomes them with treats, bowls and towels. So clean though you would never know any dogs had ever been there. We would not hesitate to come back and stay here. St Monans is a great base to explore east neuk but also a lovely place to wander around with good wee shops and fab big park round the corner. A perfect getaway!
We have just returned from a lovely few days stay in Doodles Den. Jackie and Carole were perfect hosts and communication was excellent. The flat is on a quiet street with parking. It is very well appointed and extremely cosy and comfortable. We really appreciated the lovely gesture of the gift of oatcakes and cheese! Our dog was also made to feel very welcome and he really appreciated the treats left for him too! We would highly recommend the flat and commend the owners for their enthusiasm and commitment to their guests!

Perfect...... Doddles Den
Perfect little flat located in St Monans within easy reach of surrounding villages and amenities. The flat had everything we needed.Spotless
Carole & Jackie were the perfect hosts, there dog friendly attitude a real bonus.

St Monans is a picturesque fishing village with a lovely harbour including the much photographed squinty pier. There is a historic church which was featured in the film The Railway Man and an iconic windmill both of which are open to visitors.
Places to eat include The East Pier Smokehouse and fine dining at The Craig Millar restaurant. The Diving Gannet is our local cafe selling delicious lunches all of which are in easy walking distance from Doodles Den.
Getting around
There is a regular bus service to take you along the East coast and continues on to Dundee.
We also have two bikes with helmets for hire. There are many lovely cycling routes in the East Neuk of Fife.
