We had a lovely weekend in Carr cottage at the beginning of December with another couple of friends. The cottage was bigger than it looked in the pictures, and very homely and warm. The house is located a short walk from all amenities. Within ten minutes there are numerous traditional pubs (CAMRA listed),Italian and Indian restaurants, takeaways,a supermarket,post office and other independent shops. The train station serves Buxton and Manchester late into the evening.<BR><BR>Short walks can be taken from the house into the surrounding countryside, with beautiful views over the town, the Goyt Valley, Taxal Edge.
