Lochend Cottage is set in 800 acres of croft ground with stunning views over Rangag Loch from most rooms in the house. Visitors are welcome to roam over the croft ground and to fish along the edge of the Loch. Sitting above the A9 the cottage has easy access to Wick and Thurso with many places of interest throughout Caithness worth a visit.The Cottage has been decorated with feature walls in most rooms. There are stunning views over the Loch and surrounding countryside from all rooms. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the surrounding croft ground. Well behaved dogs are welcome at Lochend Cottage. I have stayed in this cottage numerous times over the years (some 20 plus). I will never tire of waking in the morning gazing out of the windows watching the deer and all manner of wildlife going about their business, walking the dogs for miles...More

The location is amazing - very rural with local wildlife on your doorstep. Fabulous sunsets. The loch is ideal for fishing and the kids liked to have a bit of a paddle although still a bit chilly in March to try swimming ! Very spacious,...More

Lovely cottage , central heating kept the cottage lovely and cosy, with the coal fire a bonus. The weather was as you would expect in February, but to sit in the sunroom and watch it go past was lovely. Decoration was colourful and homely. Easy...More

The remote location of the cottage is an ideal get a way from the pressures of everyday life. The stunning scenery and use of the croft ground to roam over is user to relax .The half hours drive to John O' Groats and Dunnet head ,the most northerly point of Scotland, passes through beautiful country side and the coastal views are stunning.
