A week in Coldingham
After a week in Shetland and to break the journey a week in Coldingham seemed a good option to make the most of the coastal scenery around St Abbs. Thornbank was a very comfortable base, off road parking was a benefit, though restricted site getting out, but the road isn't particularly busy. The circular walk to St Abbs and the coast down to Berwick was excellent walking (not hugely strenuous) if you're lucky you might see dolphins/porpoise. Only a 30 minute drive to Lindisfarne or north to North Berwick. Some decent pubs and a small store in the village for essentials. A very relaxing stay and Milda very prompt with instructions.

Relaxing break
I cant get enough of coldingham and the coastal path. The beach is perfect for children. The cottage made our break really special. We loved having the fire on at night, the kitchen is incredibly well equipped and we all slept well. Very tastefully decorated with some lovely features. Plenty information before we arrived. Everything went smoothly . We hope to come back one day.

A very cosy cottage
An excellent location to explore the Scottish Boarders, Coldingham has a lovely Sandy beach which is ideal for children. The cottage is very well equipped and was spotlessly clean on arrival. The beds are very comfortable with good quality bedding.

Spacious cottage in a great location
A generously equiped cottage in a central location for walking the coastal path. Spacious accommodation including sunroom, sunny private courtyard, comfortable bedrooms, large lounge and entrance hall. Short walk to the centre of the village and priory. We would really recommend it.

Can't beat Coldingham
Lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable, stocked thoughtfully. So many walks from the doorstep you don't need to use the car. Well stocked local shop and butcher. Choice of local pubs. Perfect spot whatever the weather.

Super historic village cottage near the coast
Our family had a great weekend at Milda's Cottage in Coldingham. Travelled by train from Edinburgh to Berwick in 40 minutes then quick connection to local bus to village though if 3 or 4 of you, taxi may work out from Berwick. Cottage is great. Kitchen has everything you need and brand new. Living room has log burner and this connects to warm sun room at back. Garden at back is a sun trap and sheltered. We did walks to Coldingham Bay & St Abbs which are off road and not too strenuous. 30 minutes each way. Both have cafes for snacks and drinks. Had Sunday lunch in The New Inn pub in Coldingham which had good food and local ales. The weather was kind but I imagine if you are kitted out you could do great walks or merely hang out in the peaceful village with a 900 year old Priory. A great find!
