Coldingham grew up around the 12th Century Priory and is one of the prettiest villages in Scotland. Within a few minutes’ walk from the cottage are two friendly pubs. The village also has a café, a Spar convenience store, a butchers and post office with tourist information facilities. About a mile from the cottage is Coldingham Bay, which is well known for its surfing. From there walkers can join the Berwickshire Coast Path and the John Muir Way. Also close by is the port of St Abbs, a haven for diving, sea-fishing, boating and bird watching. Near to Coldingham is the beautiful Berwickshire coast and Scottish Borders for historic sightseeing, world famous golf courses and salmon and trout fishing. Finally, Edinburgh is only an hour away!
