About the neighborhood
The cabin is set on a hillside over looking the Rhinogydd mountains, Difwys and Cadair Idris range. As it isn't very far from the A470 it is the ideal position for exploring all of North and Mid Wales. Within 30 minutes drive there are mountain biking trails (lots), places to walk to suit all abilities, beaches, castles, steam railways, adrenaline fuelled activities, shopping, eating, white water activities, and so much more. Ask us for help in planning your stay.
But you could, of course, sit on the heated veranda of your cosy log cabin and admire the view whilst listening to your favourite music or just spending time with your loved ones.
Getting around
Whilst there is access to public transport within walking distance we recommend that guests have access to a car (or are willing to pay for taxis or guided tour services) in order to get the most from their stay.
We do have guests arrive by bike (Sustrans 8 runs less than a mile way) and the area is a fantastic area for motor cycling (being bikers ourselves we can recommend routes and places to stop).
Blaenau Ffestiniog train station (with links to London) is about 20 minutes drive away.
It is also possible to travel to Porthmadog and beyond (as far as Caernarfon) by steam train from Blaenau Ffestiniog on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway.
