About the neighborhood
Within five minutes walk of Boathouse Cottage is Solva beach. At low tide it is a lovely walk which allows you to look back at Upper Solva with the Pembrokeshire coastal path at either side. During the summer months Solva Quay is the setting for a variety of both children and adult regattas, with local and visitors encouraged to participate. There are opportunities for surfing, kite surfing, kayaking and paddle boarding at both Newgale and Whitesands Beaches just four to five miles from Boathouse Cottage. Both beaches have surf schools, equipment for hire and cafés. It is not always necessary to take the car and in the summer months there is a comprehensive network of buses around St Davids peni...
