Tangerine Sunsets Tangelo is one of our fully equipped, 2-bedroom, 1 bath vacation properties with a swimming pool and lots of amenities. This unit is centrally located in Montagu Villas, a tranquil gated community on Village Road, close to the beach, restaurants, stores, public transportation, and packed with standard Tangerine Sunsets services such as complimentary Netflix, free drinking water, coffee, tea and high speed internet.

Very disappointing, we regret our decision to stay here!
Unfortunately, our family stayed here for nine days. When we arrived in the Bahama's we rented a taxi to take us to the Tangerine Sunsets - the taxi drivers at the airport consulted with each other and had no clue where to take us. We called the rental and had them send a pin location. Even with the pin location we ended up calling again because we couldn't find the location..... it wasn't labeled Tangerine Sunsets, it had a sign saying it was Montagu Villas! We were given a gate code in order to gain access, with the understanding that once we gained entry into the unit a gate key would be available for us to use. Unfortunately, the gate code didn't work and so we once again called and asked how to get through the gate.... they kept telling us the same code they had emailed to us, and we tried it several times with no success. We waited and waited and finally another car came in and after they used their card to open the gate, we just followed them in (this happened several times during our stay, where we witnessed other cars wait until someone opened the gate and followed them through - defeating the purpose of the gated community they advertised). There was no security at the gate or on the premises. We rented a car through them as well and overall was satisfied. However, the car battery left us stranded once and we had a local jump start the car. We reported it to the managers and they did come and replace it after a few hours. The unit was clean and we liked that there was a washer and drier as well as drinking water being provided. There were limited towels and the beds in both bedrooms were uncomfortable and felt like sleeping on the ground. The sofa bed was wore out, the mattress wasn't thick enough to protect you from the bars and bowed in to the middle. My husband ended up pushing all the dining room chairs together in order to get some sleep and I slept on the couch (without folding it out). The shower trickled and we found it hard to get the soap out of our hair and off our body. Remote didn't work due to no batteries. The washer was very loud. The property managers called at least daily as well as sending emails. They called our cell phone and the phone in the unit. It was nice the first couple of times, but was irritating to be hounded multiple times a day. The pool looked disgusting and we didn't observe anyone brave enough to try to swim. The unit was very outdated. Our son was taking a shower and trying to get all the soap off when he noticed a guy looking in the shower window .... that was creepy. I did like that they were very responsive.

30th birthday celebration
My girlfriends and I booked the trip to the Bahamas 4 months in advance and 2 days before our trip I was told the house I paid for was no longer available and I was put in something completely different then what I asked for. It was an adjustment of course because my original house was a 3 bedroom 2 bath and looked pretty updated. This new house was 2 bedrooms 1 bath and could definitely use a modern touch. Overall we had a great time in the Bahamas itself going to the beach everyday, taking tours and meeting some amazing people. My birthday trip was a success and I will say Duran was pretty helpful and respond quick to things around the house that needed to be fixed. I would call them again if we ever decide to go back for a visit.

A Perfect Spot for the Week
My stay at Tangerine Sunsets was totally pleasant. We had plenty of drinking water provided, extra pillows, towels, and sheets, as well as all the basic supplies we needed for our stay. Although not modern, the home was very clean and organized. I recommend staying here!

Terrific
This was by far the best we have experienced. Duran was available 24 hrs a day. He also provided a transportation service that was second to none.

Clean Apartment, great value!
So we did pick this apartment because it had a great price for what we needed, after checking many resorts and finding out about all their hidden resort fees, we decide to stay at this vrbo because the price was great and we were out almost all day every day.
I believe you would likely want a car if running to the opposite side of the island, Cable Beach, where we did two resort day passes(see my Melia and Breezes reviews)
We rented a car prior to our trip and were in downtown Nassau with ten minutes and on paradise island within seven.
The apartment had everything we needed to make breakfast each morning (grocery nearby at bay shore shopping center..groceries, especially bacon expensive down there, as is most imported items, however we expected and planned a grocery budget) as well as very clean.
There was a water cooler, which was nice!
The master bedroom ( back bedroom) had a comfortable bed, but slightly noisy air conditioner, we turned off at night.
It is an older unit, and could use some refreshing but if you just want to run all over the island and explore like we did, you can't go wrong. As mentioned everything we needed was there!
Montagu beach, fort was about a ten minute walk and the closest beach. We enjoyed a Saturday night party with the locals here during their mini regatta!
We also took a day pass with Sandy Toes yo Rose island...a must do! Our favorite beach of 4 we visited!
great restaurants close by and just far enough from all the tourists. We even had great neighbors, who we never really heard.
This is a second floor apartment, and aside from a dog barking for a few mins one night, it was extremely quiet. we never felt unsafe at all or like we were in a neighborhood.
There is a bus stop right outside the gate, I can't comment as we didnt use.
Overall we both said we could see ourselves staying here again and had great service when needing assistance with what direction to hold the gate card! Thank you Duran! It really was a pleasure staying here and we could come back!

Very Safe, Good Location
Very close to Atlantis and right across the street from a bus stop! Gated and felt safe. Good beds and space inside.

Great location, great hosts and the condo was a home away from home.
Duran and his team were wonderful even before I booked. They answered all my questions, walked me through all the steps and even had one of their reps - Bridgette stop by to see how we were doing. The condo itself was perfect for the four of us and gave us enough area to move around. We loved our stay.

Great value
Great value. Safe property. Clean places and area. Because it is not very close to the best beaches, Downtown or Atlantis need $500 for taxis if there for the week.
