We were there in Sept, the water was 86'. Never needed wetsuit. Captain Sam and all the crew were outstanding and kept us entertained the entire time. We were in Cabin 4 and we had so much storage area, we ended up not using the closets. The one special crew member I would like to give 5 stars to is Julia, the housemouse. She was amazing! She was always working hard and constantly asked if we needed anything. Food was good and a lots of variety. We will be back for sure.

We began our trip in Nassau, Bahamas. Sam was the captain & Alex the first mate. It was obvious from when I set foot on the vessel that service was their number one priority and that a culture of exceeding expectations flowed down from the captain through to the rest of the crew. One example was my dietary needs. I had completed a questionnaire before the trip indicating my diet. It was pretty straight forward at the time. Very close to departure my Dr changed my diet drastically & I did not notify the chef until arrival on the boat. Despite this, chef Kim went out of her way to make sure that I had special meals that met my needs everyday. I feel this aided in my recovery & lowered my stress. It is with out reservation I recommend Aqua Cat for your next live aboard vacation.

Finger weg! Der Veranstalter hat unsere Tour 2 Tage vor dem Start abgesagt (Covid auf der Tour vorher). Wir waren bereits auf den Bahamas (gerade gelandet, als wir die Info der Absage via Mail erhalten haben) und hatten bereits Kosten von Euro 4900,- (Flug, Vorübernachtung, Taxi, etc.). Wir haben als Alternative ein 3 Sterne Taucherhotel angeboten bekommen, wo 2 TG inkludiert gewesen wären. Sorry - die Tour kostete uns Euro 5300,- und dann so ein „Angebot“ machen?!?! Sorry, das geht so nicht. Wir sind haben dann unseren Heimflug umgebucht/vorverlegt und sind nach Hause (über Weihnachten/Neujahr sind die Hotelpreise auf den Bahamas eine Frechheit „Preis/Leistung“) geflogen. Unser Tauchveranstalter (in Deutschland) hat dann versucht mit der Aqua Cat eine Kulanzlösung für uns auszuhandeln (wegen unseren Kosten abseits der Tauchsafari) - OHNE ERFOLG! Es hat sie genau gar nichts interessiert…außer die Safarikosten (5300,-) zu erstatten. Das Schiff ist auf Wochen meist ausgebucht…verdienen sich also bereits über Monate/Jahre eine goldene Nase…aber wenn der Kunde Hilfe braucht, wollen sie von nichts wissen! Loben möchte ich unseren Tauchveranstalter (Schöner Tauchen) - mit diesem haben wir eine kulante Lösung gefunden…obwohl die am wenigsten dafür können!

Not sure where to start, but WOW this was the best dive vacation we have experienced to date. Our trip was booked by our local Dive Shop, Carolina Dive Center, Raleigh NC. We boarded the Aqua Cat for a one way dive trip from George Town to Nassau in the Bahamas. From the moment we boarded the Aqua Cat it was evident that the crew's first and foremost duty was to show us the best liveaboard dive experience imaginable. The Aqua Cat Captains, Captain John and First Mate Rachel made sure our trip was smooth, efficient and ensured we had the best locations for diving. The Dive Crew, led by Juno with Veronica, Dale and Alex made sure all were ready, well briefed and safe while under water, not to mention that our activities, including the creatures we would encounter were well documented in addition to our photos and videos. I wont lie here, but the the hot showers as you exit the water and the dive deck showers were a very nice experience after completing one of the up to five dives per day. Meals were provided by Kim and Francisco and to say the meals and snacks were outstanding is an understatement. Our rooms and the general areas of Aqua Cat were maintained by Dihiana and I don't think we ever saw her sitting still. Our room, towels and general areas of the Aqua Cat were immaculately maintained. Finally our engineers, Salomon and Serafin stayed busy as well behind the scenes as we never encountered any issues with the ship or her functions, additionally Solomon could make an outstanding Pina Colada! Rooms were very comfortable and it was nice to have your own bathroom and shower in your room. The Aqua Cat provides up to five dives per day 4 day/1night schedule two before lunch, two before dinner and a night dive after. During our trip you could dive up to 26 times if you did them all. In addition, Shore excursions were available daily for those who wanted a break from diving, or preferred to explore, such as shop, fish or see the local community. We would recommend the Aqua Cat and her crew for an outstanding liveaboard diving experience as well as non divers. Last but not least, Aqua Cat left you feeling like family, not company!! Such an amazing crew with an amazing attitude and love of diving.

We have a place on Grand Bahamas 🇧🇸 and love to dive here, but also wanted to experience other Bahamian island diving and the AquaCat Bahamas was the perfect choice. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary…….last year…….and after 4 rebookings due to COVID19, we were finally able to make it happen. Very friendly/patient staff from the beginning regarding booking, then rebooking etc. to our arrival at the Marina dock. They’ve thought of everything with regards to the set up for the dive live aboard for comfort and safety - our cabin was a perfect size, comfortable; dive deck had everything you might want with great staff to assist - you simply left all your gear in your spot for the whole dive trip. One particular note I have to add = LOTS OF FRESH WATER ON THIS BOAT…..from the hot rinse off shower at the ladder getting back on the boat, to a couple of private hot showers on the dive deck to rinse off more thoroughly. There was no limits to usage. The food was amazing, Jasmine and company kept us well fed, main meals and treats between dives - healthy food/great flavours with plenty of indoor and outdoor dining space available. The dive sites/briefings were great - we experienced dive sites in Exumas & Eleuthera and a quick visit swimming with the pigs. The staff work so hard and are so patient, we regularly wondered how they did it all. Our captain, Manny, did an amazing job keeping us “travel comfortable” the whole trip, not a lot of rocking during more turbulent weather and could park the 102’ boat as though it was a smart car. To top it off, he was very entertaining and engaged in conversation with everyone when he had the time. Our dive masters were wonderful, each very different personalities and kept the guests entertained, educated and safe. We have our favourite of course, Alex, whom we’ve known for many years - we were so happy to reconnect after his change of location several years ago. He knows his stuff being a Marine Biologist and has plenty of time for people, answering questions about the underwater beauty we are fortunate to experience. They also have a couple of paddle boards and at least 1 two seater kayak at your disposal. The Sea Dog is a 28ft “tender”, which can be used for land tours or fishing depending on location or schedule. I’m sure there is much more I could say, but experiencing it yourself is the way to go.

The Aquacat is one of the largest dive boats we have been on, comfortably taking you to the Exumas for clear water diving on healthy reefs, and walls with swim throughs. The sheer size of this water craft comfortably holds 20 divers without any crowding whatsoever. But the real treat on this trip was meeting the staff/crew, who made this trip as memorable as it was. First, the food was really really good, lots of variety, and salad with every meal. We like that. Homemade muffins. Tuna steaks done just perfectly. Bacon. OK, these were served at different times, different meals, and there was no wanting in the food department, and the kitchen crew gets top marks. Second, the service on the dive deck was second to none, the dive staff almost hovered silently behind you to see if you ever needed help suiting up, or getting that second tank strap on. And they were friendly and helpful throughout the week. FYI, we required Health Visas to go to Bahamas and so there was a lot of jumping through hoops regarding covid testing, and the crew made is go as efficiently as possible, including a PCR test with a 5 hr turn around time so we could make our domestic flight to another island. Third, all dive boats throw a party on the last night, right? Well, many do, and this one was hands down the most fun, the funniest, and the most memorable of dozens we have been to over the years. Likely the culmination of a week's worth of funny and informative dive briefings, more like a cheering travelogue, the dive guides were terrific both under the water and on the dive deck.

I don't usually start reviews with "qualifications" but in this case I believe it is helpful context. I am a 30+ years diver, more than 500 dives, a dive professional, and I take at least one dive trip every year and usually more. This is one of my best ever trips. The vessel is immaculate - not one single criticism. Almost embarrassingly roomy. Even the dive deck spoiled me - that hot fresh water shower after each dive to rinse the salt off is a treat. The food was really quite good, both in terms of variety, quality of ingredients, and prep. I can't imagine a better crew - all have a genuine desire for every guest to have an amazing time, and work so hard to make that happen. They treat guests individually and make sure they are comfortable and confident no matter what their dive experience. We had one guest who made his first ocean dive on this trip, and he had just as much fun as the dive professionals on the boat did. The dives were terrific. We had a perfect mix of deep water wall dives, beautiful shallower reefs with tons of bottom time, and a couple of blue holes to round it out. And of course the Washing Machine - thanks for the turtles for sheepherding us through! Have to call out the crew - they were the best! Captain Manny, Sam, Bjorn, Chris, Drew, Nakita, Tiffani, Jen, Alex, Karl and Ingrid I can't thank you enough! I spent the plane ride out of Nassau trying to figure out when I can go back.

Our experience on the Aqua Cat was phenomenal. The dives (25 total!) and land excursions were absolutely amazing. I cannot thank Captain Manny, Captain John and the rest of the crew (Ingrid, Jen, Alex, Karl, Kelly, Martyna, Gessie, Scott, and Ben) for providing exceptional service and enthusiasm. Thanks again for picking us up in the dinghy when my navigation failed my dive buddy and I time and time again!

I have been all over the world to dive and on many, many live aboard and found this one to be among the best. The dive sites were incredible bursting with life, I couldn’t get enough, so I did every single dive they offered including the night dives! Even the site called the washer machine had a resident shark that came for the ride!! The crew catered to your every need and were accommodating to both divers and non-divers of the group. The food was incredible and plentiful! We will definitely be back! I highly, highly recommend!

I would like to start off by saying that the crew on the Aqua Cat where great and took care of any problem or need that you had. The food was out standing. Safety was allways a concern. After diving with them this Sept. I can see first hand what we are doing to are oceans by global warming and pollution we are dumping in our oceans. I picked up a Wail Street Journal paper. There was a article about are oceans an what we are doing to them Everyone should read this. On a scale of 1 to 10 and ten being the best. I only saw two 4's in quality and life on the reefs. This conclusion was shared by ever diver on aboard that I talked to. Ever reef we dove on were dead or in the last stages. Diving coral heads was liking walking through a haunted forest no life. After reading the reviews before we booked I was looking forward to this trip. The trip was very disappointing. I have over 500 dives plus over twenty dives on this trip. This was a great boat to dive off. I wish they would position further down in the Caribbean were the reefs are a joy to dive on.
