Amazing home for our family Christmas vacation/reunion
Danielle and Kevin were the consumate hosts for our week at Coconuts, one of their two adjacent villas in the Gifft Hill section of St John. The views are amazing, the amenities are first-rate within the home and we each had our own bedroom/living space and then plenty of communal areas for eating, swimming, hot-tubbing, relaxing, playing games etc. One is about 12-15 minutes uphill from downtown Cruz Bay, and the drive is not too challenging (at least not for Seattle drivers who are used to steep hills!), but the owners make every accomodation to meet their guests however necessary to make the first trip to Coconuts as easy as possible. There is a comprehensive guest book with lots of terrific pointers, tips and recommendations for activities at the villa, in the national park, and in Cruz Bay and Coral Bay. This really helped with advance planning and then reminders along the way. We would enthusiastically recommend Coconuts to any visitors to St John and hope to come back soon!

Paradise found!!!
What a little piece of heaven this place is! Picture perfect location
..Our view was spectacular. We so loved coming back to our "home" after a day at the beach.Everything we needed was provided. The owners were so hospitable and even gave us a tour of their other residence next door. Another trip to this piece of paradise is definitely planned!

Peaceful Retreat
Nice location on top of the hill which helps keep the outdoor living areas cool and enjoyable. We stayed for 7 days and had a wonderful time, only one very small issue.
5 adults stayed and we are were all comfortable, one more would have easily fit if 3 couples were traveling. We cooked several nights, the villa is well stocked with cooking utensils and spices. The owners provide coffee and a welcome bottle of wine both of which were very appreciated. The Villa also has an extensive list of activities and restaurants in a large book for you to choose from just make sure you call first as some places are still working to get back on their feet.
The location is not walk-able to Cruz Bay but a short drive, it only took us about 10-15 minutes.
We did have a very small issue that that the owner responded to right away and the speed of their response was good. We would come again and stay in the same place.

Fantastic week!
My husband and our children rented Coconuts the second week in December. The house was beautiful and the outdoor living area was a definite hit with our teens; 2 seventeen year-olds and 1 twelve year-old. We spent every evening outside enjoying the sunset off the deck and playing either pool or cornhole. The owners thought of everything that we may need to make our stay stress free. The house had an amazing outdoor kitchen as well as a cute inside kitchen, movies and books available, snorkeling gear, coolers and beach chairs. You name it, they had it available! We will definitely be renting Coconuts again the next time we vacation in St. John.

Paradise
This villa was perfect. Beautiful views, so many amenities, and user friendly with detailed instructions from owners ahead of time, and on labels at the villa. The drive up is a little rough (all of St. John is), but worth it. Bring your bug spray and enjoy the outdoor living part of the villa. the pool, hot tub, hammock, and outdoor kitchen were all great. The hummingbirds put on shows with a backdrop of flowers, ocean, and St. Thomas in the distance. Perfect villa for three couples with private entrances to three separate bedrooms (all with own bathroom) All of the diverse beaches were beautiful, and my husband and son enjoyed hiking throughout the national park. Great vacation!

Great Week at Coconuts
We were a family of 7: grandparents, parents and 3 kids (7, 11 and 13). For the kids, it was a week full of firsts from the plane ride to staying on an island to a day long boat trip. Owners Kevin and Danielle were terrific. We had a couple of little issues that were addressed the next day and everything worked as expected. The photos are accurate. The villas has a very unique layout. We were not aware that the "indoor" kitchen was a separate building at Coconuts and had no AC. It had everything you needed to prepare meals. Cooking in the outdoor kitchen worked perfectly. I have to mention that the coffee provided was excellent. We stopped at the Starfish Market on our way to the villa the day we arrived. It was very well stocked. The St John Market had better prices and was close to one of the only 2 gas stations on the island. There were so many amenities at the villa that the kids were kept busy even on a rainy day. The pool/ping pong table was hours of fun. When bored with that, the pool and hot tub. Plenty of pool toys. And the big screen system where we watched movies nights - wow. There is a good selection of movies for adults and older kids. The wi-fi was fine for the umpteen devices we had. The views from the villa decks are incredible. We had coffee in the gazebo while watching hummingbirds and bananaquits at the feeders every morning. Our grandson found chasing the poor little geckos tons of fun. Chickens and deer also visited the back yard. Sleeping arrangements because of the kids ages were interesting. All 3 bedrooms are in different buildings which provides privacy for adult couples, but with small children this villa would be difficult. Town was just 15 minutes away and the trip down the "mountain" was always interesting. Goats, donkeys, cows and chickens were always on the road. The kids found everything new and interesting . We ate lunch out every day: Ocean Grille, Tap Room and Sun Dog all in Mongoose Junction were favorites. We snorkeled from the beaches at Trunk, Maho, Hawksnest, Cinnamon and Honeymoon Bays and all had something to see. No one could pick a favorite. We used the villa's beach chairs, towels and snorkeling equipment. We took a day-long private boat charter to the BVIs for more snorkeling and lunch at the Willie T. Jump off the top while waiting for your food. All in all, once we figured out how to get down to town and to the beaches, we were just fine. We had a wonderful 3 generation vacation!

Feels like home
My wife and I have been to Coconuts multiple times and every time we walk through the door it's like coming home. It has received new updates like the outdoor kitchen, surround sound outside, etc. Unbelievable views and convienance to restaurants/shopping (a short drive) is a perfect match. We have even renewed our vows here when my whole extended family came to St. John.
Being a repeat visitor to St. John and Coconuts I can tell you that for what you pay vs what you get it is a tough Villa to beat.

Soooo relaxing!
Just returned from a week stay at Coconuts. Great location - easy to get to Cruz Bay and beaches, yet complete relaxation and peacefulness at the villa. We visited Christmas week, so the Island was packed, but we were able to retreat to the tranquility of Coconuts, Ages ranged from 14 through 83 and all enjoyed the villa's amenities. There is so much outdoor space that we hardly used the indoor space, except for sleeping (VERY comfortable beds). Outdoor sound system and pool table were huge hit with teens and young twentysomethings in our group. View is breathtaking - telescope was an added bonus! Owner was unbelievably helpful and responsive. Could not have asked for anything more - was a perfect vacation spot!
