An enormous 500 sf covered porch provides you with the sun and rain protection you need to enjoy spending quality time outside in the Caribbean breeze. Relax in the lounge chairs, porch swing and club chairs, or dine al fresco. From the comfort of the private porch you can see the dark blue line at the 1300ft drop to the Caribbean’s largest living reef and watch the dive boats visit one of the most popular dive sites on island: Salt River Canyon. With pelicans and frickets flying overhead and turtles occasionally surfacing in the bay below, you are in the perfect place to kick back and take in the scenery. On a super clear day you can see Puerto Rico to the West, St. Thomas, St. John, Virgin Gorda, and Tortola to the North, and, if you’re really lucky, St. Martin to the East!
At night watch the colors change as the sun sets, the lights blink to life across the bay and all the way over in St. Thomas, the cruise ships glide across the water, and, if the moon isn’t too bright, the kayakers touring the Bioluminescent Bay below.
Inside comfort is king; from a large sectional couch in the living room to a Tempur-Pedic mattress in the bedroom. The apartment stays cool from the hillside and trade winds, but there is also AC in both the bedroom and living room in addition to three fans to keep you comfortable. Every window in the house boasts an ocean view. The large kitchen has a “pay it forward” bar, ice maker, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, chef knives, chopping block, Calphalon cookware, and a full size dishwasher. The living room has a blue tooth music player and a 32” flat screen TV with Amazon fire TV. High quality towels and linens are provided as well as basic necessities in both the bath and kitchen. Beach towels, chairs, coolers, and snorkel gear are also provided.
At the end of the patio a short flight of stairs leads you to two additional levels of decking surrounding a brand new glass mosaic pool. The shimmering iridescent pool is complete with a swim up bar and built in gas grill. Along the back of the pool is a large covered area providing shade for some club and lounge chairs. The smaller awning over the pool bar ensures that there is always some shade to be found within the pool itself. The pool area is the only space that is shared with the main house, but you can expect to have it to yourself most of the time.
Sailor’s Rest is centrally located in St. Croix, so you can get anywhere in 30 minutes and it’s only 4 miles to the shops and restaurants of downtown Christiansted. One of the best parts of this North-central location is that there are two grocery stores and a market within 5-10 minutes! This is a huge advantage over the East End. Moreover, located within the gated community of Judith’s Fancy, you are in one of the safest places on island. This family-oriented community is also a walking/running destination, boasting over 9 miles of private well-maintained roads. Judith’s Fancy also has the best surf break on island. From the apartment you can walk to the beach in 5-10 minutes.
Cleaning service is provided at the end of every week for visits lasting two weeks or more. This includes new linens and towels. Guests staying more than a week are also welcome to use the laundry facilities for their personal items.
Sorry, no pets allowed. There are a couple of sweet cats and a super loving Golden Retriever who live in the main house on the property. Two guest maximum, no smoking, and no children.

The host was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay so pleasant. Very clean house, peaceful, comfortable bed, and the most breathtaking view! The perfect place to stay for our honeymoon.

Sailor's Rest
Sailor's Rest was exactly as you see in the pics except in person outside and inside its BETTER! Alex was great from the start to the finish. She covered every detail even the ones you wouldn't think of.

Ultimate Relaxation
Sailor's Rest was amazing: the views, the comfort, the privacy, the pool, the breezes. Did I mention the views? Incredible! Alex and her dog Ella were the perfect hosts. We never vacation in the same place twice. We will be making the exception for Sailor's Rest.

A real gem!
We found this property to be "as represented" by the Owner. Views of the Salt River Bay and ocean were spectacular. Salt water pool is new and well maintained. Proximity to Christiansted is a plus. The owner (Alex) is very responsive to any questions or needs, as she lives on the property. Would definitely conider re-booking.

Rejuvenating
Sailor’s Rest was exactly as described! Alex has created a luxurious retreat...quiet, private, countless amenities, and oh, that view from the porch is incredible. Alex was so kind and hospitable, and we enjoyed the visits from Ella and the cats. We loved exploring St. Croix (be adventurous!) but starting the days with coffee on the porch and ending them with dinner and rum drinks on the same porch were among the highlights of the trip. It’s like reality ceased to exist for a few sunny, peaceful, gorgeous days. Thank you Alex...we would love to return.

Second only to Heaven
Sailor's Rest is beauty, tranquility and peace . Alex has poured her love into this villa and it shows in every detail - from the porch swing to the perfect décor to the pool to the amenities beyond one's imagination. Then she treated us as old friends as she welcomed us into her home. Her enthusiasm for the Island, and its people, was genuine. We were able to venture out and explore thanks to her knowledge; then return each evening to rest and recharge in the most beautiful home on the Island thanks to her generosity.

Hidden Paradise!!!!
Sailor's Rest was truly the best part of our trip. We loved having our own little escape where we could relax and still explore the island. Alex was the most gracious host and made sure we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. If we come back the first step will be to rebook here!

Simply Amazing! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Beautiful!
We got lost on our way to Sailor's Rest. Not because it was hard to find, we were just a little turned around and confused. Alexandria, the owner of the property, was patient and stayed on the phone with us to help us find our way. It's really not hard to find nor is it far from the airport. Upon our arrival, we received a very warm welcome (hug).
The property is simply amazing. Absolutely beautiful. My hubby and I chose to stay here for our 24th anniversary. So glad we did. The inside of the property looks just as the pictures posted. It was a very comfortable stay. Everything that one would need is inside of the home. The kitchen was stocked with food. The wine bar was stocked with libations. We didn't want to leave. The outside of the property offers an amazing view. I thought the pictures posted of the view were beautiful but it's even more beautiful in person. There is also a pool area with a grill and more patio furniture to relax on the upper deck.
Snorkeling gear, pool noodles, etc, all of the amenities (and more) that one would need while on vacation are available on the property. Sailor's Rest is close to restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations and shopping areas.
We typically stay in hotels or resorts when we vacation. This is our first time staying in a vacation property. This place has set the standard by which we will choose other places when we travel. I can't rave about this place enough. It really is a quiet comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place.
