Afallon is an imposing solid 19th century farmhouse situated just outside the pretty seaside village of Aberdaron. It is 7 minutes walk from the centre of the village, which has two pubs and several cafes, shops, and a lovely mile-long sandy beach with safe bathing. Access to the North Wales Coastal path is directly from the front door of Afallon without recourse to a vehicle. This is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and bird watching, seal and dolphin watching, and wonderful wild flowers in the late spring and summer are all on offer to the discerning visitor.

Prior to arrival you will be sent general information as to the running of the house (how the boiler/hot water works, rubbish collection dates etc) as well as the code to access the key safe. Inside is the key to the front door. There is a further set of keys by the back door. During your stay, I usually telephone the house, on the landline, to make sure that you have found everything you need, are comfortable and are happy with everything.

About the neighborhood
The area is rural, with long views from all the windows of the house. But in fact Afallon is but a short walk from the village of Aberdaron. It is also situated right beside the coastal path , which can be accessed from our gate, so no car is really required during your holiday if you are a walker.

How to get there
Railway: Pwllheli: 15.5 mi
Drive into Aberdaron village on the main road from Pwllheli, turn right after the first little bridge up the steep hill parallel to the beach, past a right turn at the top, and the house is 200 yards further on, on the right hand side, set back up a short drive. (NB If you come to a large entrance on the right, signed Dwyros Campsite, you have overshot our driveway! go back 20 metres).

You will be provided with the access code for the keysafe prior to arrival, as well as details of how the house runs, and all the general info.
