Come and stay at Gorlys, our fully equipped house is located on the edge of Snowdonia with access to a host of outdoor activities suitable for all ages. The house has two bedrooms, a full bathroom with bath & shower. Separate WC on the ground floor. Fully equipped 'cooking' kitchen, with plenty of work surfaces. Comfortable lounge/dining room with seating for four leading out to the rear garden which has a four seat dining table. Black Rock Sands is the local attraction, just five minutes walk away! Alternatively you can take the car and drive onto the beach if you want to take chairs windbreaks etc . We also provide a wheeled cart, to carry the chairs, wind breaks and cold box to use on the beach. Local shop, chippy and pub all within five minutes. The range of activities locally has increased dramatically in recent years, try Zip Lining or the Underground Trampoline in Blaenau Ffestiniog, high ropes course, mountain biking or just walking at Coed y Brenin , we can tell you where to try wild swimming, hike up Snowdon, visit Portmerion, travel the Ffestiniog or Welsh Highland Railway, Go Karting and Quad biking at Nefyn there is plenty to do and never enough time.More

We allow dogs BUT PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOGS IN THE HOUSE UNSUPERVISED!!! We do prefer that the dogs do not sleep upstairs in the bedrooms or to go on the beds. We also ask that you collect all the doggie deposits. Please make sure there is no dirty crockery left. Please put all the rubbish out including the recycling. Turn the thermostat down to 15 degrees. Turn all the lights out and close all the windows. PLEASE LEAVE THE KEY IN THE KEY SAFE WHEN YOU LEAVE.

Just spent another fantastic week in what we call our second home. Very well equipped with all that you need both inside and out. Located perfectly, walking distance from Black Rock Beach and local shop, chip shop and pub. The cottage is always clean and well presented and even a welcome tray and milk in the fridge. Cant wait for our return later this year. Thank you Jo and Paul .

This was my 3rd stay here and it won't be my last - the property is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay - the beach is 5 mins walk away and is stunning! Lots of attractions nearby and Jo (the owner) couldn't be more helpful - my two dogs loved it too!

House easy to find with directions from owner. Well placed for visiting other areas of interest. Close to Blackrock Sands (5mts Walk) House itself was very comfortable with all modern amenities included. Rear porch very good particularly on sunny evening. Small store close by as well as fantastic chip shop. Well kept property , would be suitable for family with young children as well as older couples. Stairs may put some people off. Overall we had an excellent stay and enjoyed our time there.

Just returned home from our second stay at Gorlys. The excellent reviews and repeat custom speaks volumes- so if you are reading this review you must already be tempted!! Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else - this place has it all 10/10 once again

Once again this cottage didn't fail. Everything you could possibly want or need. Its feels like home from home. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and perfect spot to all amenities. Welcome tray was such a thoughtful gesture and very well enjoyed might I say. Thank you once again for making our holiday perfect. Will definitely recommend and return.

Just back from our second break at Gorley and can't recommend it enough. Brilliant location, just a few minutes walk to the beach and ideal for Porthmadog, Cricceth, Black Rock Sands etc. Lovely property with everything you need for a very comfortable holiday. Can't wait to go back.

Gorlys is lovely, a real home from home. It's clean, well cared for and comfortable. It's also really well situated, the beach is 10 mins walk away, Porthmadog is 5 mins by car and Portmeirion 10 mins. If you want an easy week and a nice place to stay, this is the place.

Great clean and tidy house. Lovely hamper on arrival with treats for us and the dogs. Short walk to the pub and an amazing dog friendly beach. Lots of games, dvd's etc for those rainy days. Could not fault the place or the owners communication. Thanks so much we will be back.

The area is close to the beautiful beaches and mountains. Snowdonia is only a short drive away. There are plenty of things to do and visit in North Wales we provide lots of information at the house for you, things to do and see local places to eat, children's activities to visit also details about the local leisure centre in Porthmadog.
Getting around
There is a train station in Porthmadog and also a regular local bus service but we do recommend having a car.
