Within the villa, each large bedroom features a king sized bed, luxury bedding, air conditioning, ceiling fan, large closet with shelving, safe, marble/stone bath with walkin shower, and direct access to the pool deck and living room with 42in. HDTV/DVD/stereo.
While I wholeheartedly agree with the earlier descriptions of how wonderful On Island Time is to stay at, I wanted to emphasize how pleasant it was dealing with Christopher and his property manager, Samantha. They went out of their way to answer our questions and make us comfortable. Samantha even met us at our rental car agency to guide us in and give us a tour of the property. On the date we were supposed to return, an ice storm threw all airline travel off, and there was no way were going to make it home for at least 48 hours. Rather than just usher us out, they worked with us to extend our stay and we were able to enjoy 2 more days of warm weather rather than deal with the ice storm.
The house is just fabulous to stay in. The rooms are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the view from the pool can't be beat. The pool is also designed with stools to sit on at a swim up wet bar- the perfect place to have a drink or sit and read under the shade while still enjoying the water. A number of nice spots to eat out are right around the corner and it was an easy drive to other areas of the island. we particularly enjoyed the market over in Marigot. The property is really an ideal getaway for 2-3 couples or a family that needs 3 bedrooms.
My one tip for those planning to cook while on vacation- check the spice cabinet before buying salt and pepper- I think everyone who stays has grabbed some and we added to a supply that would probably last for several months if not years.

Spacious and beautiful island home away from home
This villa, nestled in the hillside of Oyster Pond Estates, provided a fabulous homebase for our week in St. Maarten. While it was amazing to have the place to ourselves, it really would be an ideal villa for two or three couples, as all of the bedrooms are quite private and have their own bathrooms.
While the villa itself features clean, modern stylings and comfortable decor, what you are really paying for is the absolutely spectacular outdoor area with the infinity pool and garden looking out over lush hillsides and the sea. Photos do not do it justice.
This was our first time traveling to St. Maarten and we found the location of the villa to be just perfect. Less than 15 minutes away from bustling Phillipsburgh, literally a couple hundred yards away from the Dutch/French border of the island, and close to some of the best restaurants we ate at during our stay. You'll find everything you need in the villa, from blenders to bug spray, and we even had a lovely food basket with some beer and sangria waiting for us in the fridge upon our arrival.
My favorite amenities:
- The pool and backyard, with its incredible view, complete privacy, and some cushy touches like an amazing canopy bed perfect for sunbathing and napping
- Amazing master bathroom with double sinks
- Gourmet kitchen and grill
Things travelers should be aware of:
- The road up to the villa through the hills can be a bit uneven and steep, but we had a compact Hyundai rental car and it didn't have any problems. In fact, a smaller car made turning into the driveway easier.
- The villa has 3 cats who keep the grounds free from pests, and probably do a great job to boot. If you or someone you are traveling with has allergies, kindly inform the property manager prior to your trip and they will have the cats removed for the duration of your stay. The cats came as a bit of a surprise to us, and my partner is allergic, but Samantha, our property manager, was quick to take them away with no issue.
All in all, a truly wonderful place. We would absolutely stay here again.

Modern Oasis
This is a beautiful modern house with all of the amenities. The main 2-story living space has a glass wall that opens onto the outdoor terrace and yard. The infinity pool looks out over the ocean and lush green valley. We kept the doors open most of the time so that it really felt like the outdoor areas were part of the living room.
The kitchen is well equipped and was perfect for the six of us staying in the house.
We enjoyed it so much that we are going back this winter...

Fantastic everything!
What can I say about this fantastic place? I love St. Maarten, I have been traveling there for years and it sucks that I just found this wonderful villa. The owner hooked us up with his rental car guy who had fantastic rates and picked us up at the airport. We had great directions to the villa and were very impressed when we got to the neighborhood.
The villa itself is located in a gated/guarded community and is perched on a hill overlooking parts of the Oyster Pond area with the wonderful Orient Beach in the distance. The place is beautiful, bright and wonderfully appointed. It's perfect for multiple couples as each room is like it's own private vacation spot with private decks and bathrooms. The landscaping/flowers around the property are simply beautiful and the bbq/deck/pool area almost make you never want to leave. We found ourselves just hanging out at the house enjoying the views and amenities more than we thought we would.
The location is great...just barely on the Dutch side, just up the hill from Oyster Pond and Dawn beach - a stone's throw from the ocean. If the famous Orient Beach is what you're looking for you're just a short, beautiful drive away.
St. Maarten is definitely our favorite getaway spot in the Caribbean and I look forward to planning my trips around the availability of this villa in the future. You can't go wrong!
