We are a boutique hotel located in the heart of La Romana. Close to transportation, local bars & restaurants, a 5 min. drive / 20min walk to the main square, where you can find the local market with artisanal goods. We are the perfect place to get to know the locals, share a beer & play a game of Dominos. Visit us & get to know the real D.R.
Each room has a private entrance and is furnished with a double/full size bed, a private bath with a shower, a mini fridge. We provide all your linens including towels and beach towels, so don't worry about packing any of those items and save space to take home some local items and gifts from the local artisanal market. About the neighborhood
IMPORTANT: We receive our alternative power source from solar panels, this means that when there is a power outage (which can happen on average from one to four hours per day) you will not be able to power the air conditioning unit (you will probably be at the beach anyway ;) however you will have a ceiling fan that is operational. This is a common occurrence throughout our island.
It's a 5-7min. drive to Casa de Campo where you can enjoy concerts, Altos de Chavon & their private beach. The local beach of Caleta is a 10 min. drive. Also 5-7 mins away is the airport. Close by, you will find artisanal markets and will be amazed by the beautiful nature all around.
Getting around
We have a car rental company across the street, you can also rent cars from all major airports. All public buses transit in front of our building since we are located on a main street. You can easily go to one of the mayor bus companies that travel throughout the island. Public shared cabs are very popular with locals and available only a block away. The port is 5 minutes away and the airport is 5-7 minutes away.
