Interaction with guests:Â After a career switch from Tax Lawyer to Dive Master, I moved to Bonaire in 2003. It was the best career move I ever made. Not for the money, mind you, but my well-being was lifted to top level. Arriving on Bonaire for the first time felt like arriving home. After living on Bonaire for a couple of years, it still felt the same and I decided to stay there. I designed a house, had it built and in 2008 I moved in. The separate apartment is on the ground floor of the house.
After all these years I can give my guests all kinds of suggestions on what to do.
Wir hatten einen traumhaften Tauchurlaub auf Bonaire und 2 Wochen in diesem wunderbaren Apartment waren einfach genial.
Die Unterkunft ist sauber, geräumig und bietet einen tollen Blick über die Insel Richtung Klein-Bonaire. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Dank der erhöhten Lage geht immer ein leichter Wind, der einen nachts prima unter dem Moskitonetz schlafen lässt. Wir haben jeden Abend gekocht / gegrillt, draußen gegessen und den Blick über die Insel genossen. Den Pick-Up parkt man sicher auf dem Grundstück, das Tauchgerödel kann man entweder in der Basis lassen (Wannadive) oder auf der großzügigen Terrasse zum Trocken aufhängen.
Wietze ist ein netter, unkomplizierter, aufgeschlossener Gastgeber. Wenn was fehlt (bei mir war es der Föhn), kümmert er sich umgehend. Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen und hoffen, dass wir irgendwann wiederkommen dürfen.

The location es beautiful. Stunning views
We feel at home every time we stay there. The apt is very comfortable, has a beautiful terrace. The garden is also beautiful and visited by a variety of birds, adding to the pleasure to be at the terrace. Wietze is a great host. Very friendly and relax.
We have been going there every year for at least the last 15 years… In lost count.

Fijn appartement,gewekdig uitzicht.
Mooie locatie hoog op de berg.Het aanzicht van het totale huis is zo verrassend. De verhuurder zeer sympathiek en een goed gastheer.

Third holiday and still enjoyed it as if it were day 1
A very relaxing place. The wide views over the southern part of the island and over Klein Bonaire are perfect. And the garden is full of birdlife and some iguanas. It is hard to focus on e.g. the book you wanna read :-).
The apartment is located in a nice neighbourhood, on a hill slope, away from the tourist resorts. But Kralendijk and dive sites are nearby.
The appartment has everything you need, but do not expect luxury.
Wietze is a friendly and helpful host.

Toller Urlaub auf Bonaire
Wir haben uns hier sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war unser vierter Urlaub auf Bonaire, im Bonaire seaview apartment hat es uns am Besten gefallen. Das Appartment bietet einen tollen Ausblick und meistens eine schöne Briese, die durch das Appartment weht. Eine Klimaanlage ist zwar vorhanden, wird aber meistens nicht benötigt. Die Wohnung lässt sich komplett zum schönen Garten hin öffnen. Wir werden wieder ins Bonaire seaview apartment reisen. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt an Witze, den Besitzer des Hauses.

Tolle Unterkunft
Wir haben eine Woche hier verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, es fehlte uns an nichts.
Man hat einen wunderbaren Ausblick über die Insel und vor der großen Terrasse liegt der wunderschöne Garten, in dem wir viele Vögel, auch Kolibris und Papageien beobachten konnten.
Der Besitzer wohnt selbst in der oberen Etage und ist sehr gastfreundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Da unser Flieger durch Flugplanänderung erst spät landete, konnten wir nicht mehr selbst für unser Frühstück einkaufen. Das hatte aber unser Gastgeber schon für uns erledigt, dafür nochmals herzlichen Dank.

Tranquil escape
It is wonderful to escape the main town area at this tranquil apartment with a gorgeous vista of the island, but close enough to go down for dinner at all the various restaurants. A beautiful cactus garden with birds and butterflies to enjoy with coffee in the morning and cocktails as the sun sets.

enjoyed our stay
We rented the apartment for a week. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed getting to know the owner who lives upstairs of the apartment. The toughest part was insufficient cooling. The wall unit was ineffective in cooling the bedroom. I like cool conditions when sleeping and often woke up in the middle of the night sweating. The beds were uncomfortable. By the end of the week, I was making it thru the night as I got accustomed to the heat.

Love the garden!
This is our second stay here, and we love it. The apartment opens up to a garden that is home to iguanas and lizards and hummingbirds and parakeets. The views are beautiful - you can see Klein Bonaire and even the mountains of salt. The owner is very hospitable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need. Can't say enough good things about staying here.

Private nest on a top of the hill
If you like privacy and open spaces this is the greatest place for you. House is in a good shape. The rental is a single unit on a ground level of two story house designed to open the folding wall from living room to outdoor porch panorama view of Kralendijk and tropical garden right below you. Wietze is a great knowledgeable respectful host makes for feeling like you own the place. Accommodation is purposely and thoughtfully equipped we didn't miss anything. Design for cooling by crosswind is sufficient no need for air conditioning even though it is available together with three ceiling fans. Nice peaceful and comfortable stay. We loved the place and hope to return soon.

The location of the vacation rental is just outside of the main town Kralendijk in a residential area called Republiek. Drive up the hill into Republiek and you are on the Kaya Pieda Precioso. About three quarters up, on the corner of Kaya Jacinto, you see a house with a round tower. The apartment is on the ground floor.

There is no public transportation on Bonaire. We can help you rent a car.

Direct flights from the USA are available with United Airlines from Newark and Houston. Delta Airlines has direct flights from Atlanta. American Airlines has direct flights from Miami.
