Fantastic Cottage
We've stayed at this cottage twice now and everytime is just like being in your own home. The kitchen is fully fitted and heating system nice and warm. The bedrooms are excellent with plenty of room, comfortable and very clean. The local area is central for great walks and the village has a few excellent pubs with real ales and food. I would recommend this cottage to anyone! It's not often we find somewhere we visit twice.

Mr
We had a fantastic one week stay at Pippa's cottage early September. There was myself, my wife and our two young girls (just turned 6 and 3),and my folks were with us for the first 3 days. The cottage was extremely spacious, deceptively so. Big dining room with extendable table, nice living room with enough seating..... And a lovely wood burner. Upstairs, the bedrooms are all of a good size with plenty of storage for holiday clothes. Huge bathroom, and the master bedroom is fabulous. All really comfy beds, with top spec decor throughout. The village as great amenities and well placed as a base to explore the coast if you don't mind a 20 minute drive, which is what we decided to do. Really reasonable on price, excellent host and a beautiful home. Would definitely recommend this place.

A good place to stay
Casleton is a friendly village. Nice pub meal in the Downes Arms. N. yorks Visitors Centre in Danby no more than a couple of miles away. Plenty of good walks. Roseberry Topping, Cook Monument both worth a walk. Our accommodation was excellent. Very clean and felt safe.(First trip out after lockdown) Comfortable and spacious. The cottage had everything we could possibly need. We booked after a friend who had visited and recommended to us. So two satisfied visitors. Good value for price paid for a week.

Lovely cottage in a great location
We had a great week in this lovely, slightly quirky, cottage. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and comfortable in a beautiful location, perfect for visits to the coast and moors. Castleton is a lovely, quiet village with a coffee shop, deli, Co op and pub. We’d definitely stay again.

Fantastic cottage, ideal for families
We had a lovely time at this house, spent time locally in Castleton walking the dog and playing hide and seek in the bracken with the kids. Also used house as a base to travel to other places, including Roseberry tipping, Moors visitor centre nearby, and of course Whitby and Staithes and all along the coast. Cottage is lovely, would definitely come here again.
